Forums/chat for fans of TG age progressions?
From: guest (Mature fan) , 90 months, post #1
I'm not really looking to roleplay, more just chat about fantasies. I know there is content intermittently produced (Gensabi is reliable, fictionmania has a lot of good older stuff, but rarely good new stuff, treecatt's Stealing Catherine being probably the best in recent years), anyway... I was just wondering if there is a place on IRC or skype or a subreddit or something... for people who are interested in this niche genre to gather and find people to chat with and share content? It seems too many people are ashamed of their fantasies about becoming older women (or men) for anything to take hold.

And if anyone wants to chat: becoming@myself.com - I also have a skype account too, not that it probably matters.

Certainly sounds like something you could do here. :-)

Though it seems that this board is more for new finds and help with ID lately, we still do welcome those kinds of discussions here.

I love this sort of thing too and wish there was a forum or chat site where it could be easily discussed among a group.

I might be mistaken, but wasn't there some site like a "story archive"?

Discussion-wise, I understand people are not too eager to use the board here and I even feel hesitant at times in case I manage to offend someone (even indirectly, like what happened here )
I can't speak for the moderators or the site itself as I'm just a "guest", but as cj said, I don't think it'll be a deal at all if you wanted to discuss here.

As someone who is trans in real life (And also has age progression tg fantasies), I would actually say that that thread (although others have been worse) of why I don't want to have that discussion here either. :/

It's a shame that discussion in this site seems to have dried out.

There must be some other site which has taken away the popularity of this site...

Yes, it is a shame that the discussion here has waned.

I don't think that the discussion has moved, just that the community has changed over time. Individuals experience changes in the amount of time that they can devote to different things, their priorities change, their access to this site may have even changed. Anonymity is sometimes more difficult to maintain and ensure than it was in the past with the changes in how we access the internet, updates in software and operating systems, monitoring and logging at the ISPs and by other companies and governments, and changes in the legal and political landscapes.

Add to that, the changes in the makeup of our community. We've gained new members, some with different attitudes, character, and purpose than we had previously. Some have passed on or moved on, or otherwise no longer visit as often. Many of the new perhaps don't have the questions that us older members do / did.

I think that I noticed the drop in discussion activity here when social networking and interactive gaming started to hit big. In fact, those are two of the primary reasons that my level of activity here dropped way back when. I just didn't have enough time in the day to interact with everyone. Finding the right balance is key, but there are still so many things to do and people to keep up with in one's day that personal time keeps getting sliced thinner and thinner.

Still, I hope that when things even-out, that anonymity can prevail, and that we can all once again find time to visit this board and discuss things like we used to.

After some thought on the matter, and experiences with another community, I made a chat server on discord for discussing this. For now, I'm going to slowly open it, and so invitations will be required (I am happy to email the link to those interested). If you are not positively disposed towards actual trans people, don't ask though. It's not explicitly for role play, but you can do that in private messages. The focus is on identity trading, particularly with an age progression interest (e.g. young adults to mature adults, but mature adults who would want to swap with us are more than welcome. ;) ). Body swaps, costume guns, medallions of zulo, are of course welcome. And becoming a twin is allowed too. This is my first time running a place like this though, so... just be nice.

email becoming@myself.com to get an invite. You will have to make a discord account, but that only requires an email address. It's hopefully anonymous enough.

I have gotten some emails over this thread too, and while I appreciate it, I don't always have a lot of real life time to reply (especially private time), so... some of this is an attempt to see if we can all have a place to share content links, discuss who we want to actually be, and generally find others who enjoy the fact that we want to be older women and men. ;)

I like the idea of a transformation that adds challenges beyond a gender change. Age progression can blend some combination of sex appeal and body horror depending on the type of change. Age progression can be as challenging as the gender change and add all new complications to being turned into a woman. I like the idea of a TG/AP that hits the character with a difficult change but still leaves them a path forward if they can come to terms with it.

Imagine a character shortly past his 21st birthday meets an older woman at the bar, a cougar with a midlife crisis. When he wakes up the next morning, she is gone and he's been turned into the female version of himself in his mid 40s with greying hair and some middle age spread. He looks like his mother's older, less attractive sister and is now closer in age to his grandmother than his friends.

He still has a long life ahead of him but will be slipping beyond the range of middle aged and spend most of his life as an old woman. He's unprepared to deal with either his age or gender. Like the witch, he sees an older woman in the mirror but that isn't how he sees himself. He learns about women's fashion and exercises to get sexy curves because he wants to look younger and feel better about himself. He'll fight to become an attractive, middle aged woman.

To Guest -

I saw your post, and I thought that'd be a great premise to a caption series, so I started that today. Let me know your thoughts!
