Saw a commercial today about an upcoming movie about a spirit that
turns into a horde of flies that possess people but wasn't able to
catch the title of it. Any help would be appreciated!

I just watched (a month or so ago) something similar to this near
the end of I, Frankenstein
, IIRC. Could that have been it?

No, it's a different movie. I was watching Texas chainsaw massacre
on SYFY for the 31 days of Halloween and the commercial for it came
on. Been looking on the SYFY website but haven't had any luck.

I would recomend looking at the syfy channel promos on youtube. I
would but I cant here as I am in the wrong country currently.

Yes it looked like a horror movie. I'm recording the movies
currently on SYFY right now while I'm at work so hopefully I'm able
to record the commercial

i found the full schedule of the shows/movies that are going to be
shown. It gives a description of each show, but i couldnt find
anything that you described.

The only film i remember with insects was The Possession (2012),

I found it! It recorded when I was gone, it's called "The night
before Halloween" it shows this Saturday 9/8c on SYFY

I'm very interested in this movie. Does anyone know how I can watch
it when it comes out. I want to watch on Syfy but I don't have a
cable provider.

You could try emailing the SyFy people and ask, http://www.syfy.com/feedback
:-)
Other than that, unless you can visit a friend who has SyFy, or
rent a room in a place that has it, you may be out of luck, until
(if) they stream it on their website... or it comes out on DVD or
Blu-Ray. That's why I suggested emailing them.

Also I'd like to say in light of this I did happen to watch Shadows
of the Dead and it did contain TG possession in the film. There
were two MonsterTF and at least five MonsterTM possessions in the
film. No exploration and each instance was usually brief (no more
than 2minutes total screentime for each), but still rather
interesting.

Does anyone know where one could watch it from Canada? I would
gladly purchase the the US plans if they were allowed worldwide,
but unfortunately it's restricted to the US.

As i dont have the syfy channel here Ii was wondering if anyone
else here did and what their take on The night before Halloween
was. Did it have any tg/tf content and if it was any good.
Been looking for any infor on this and Shadows of the Dead and its
coming up nothing by the main synopis for me. Either no one has
done a review or my google powers suck.

Night before Halloween actually doesn't have any possession content
at all. Basically main villian is made out of flies and he attacks
people by ramming into them(It may look like he is possessing
them). Not a very interesting movie at all. And i didn't see
Shadows of the dead.
