Hi, everyone. Just dropping everyone a line to let you know that
I've started a brand shiny new blog for TG transformation captions:
Swapgirl's Captions. You can check it out here:

There's a bit of a gimmick to it; there's a sort of ongoing frame
story where I, me, Swapgirl, I have woken up in a woman's body, in
a reality where I've always been female. Alongside my regular
captions, I'll be writing some captions exploring my new life as a
woman. Everything within the blog will be written "in character",
so to speak. I'm a transwoman who is unable to transition at the
moment, so it's totally self-indulgent wish fulfillment... but I
hope it's entertaining for you guys as well. :)

By the way, does anyone have any advice on how I might go about
contacting some of the other caption bloggers? I'd like to add a
few of them to my blogroll, but I'd rather ask for their permission
first. It seems like the kind of thing you ask permission for...
Some of them have their e-mail addresses listed on their blogs, but
there are a few, like Crestf and the person who operations Some TG
Captions, who don't. Any thoughts on how I might get their
attention?
(And naturally, I pick the time tehswitcher is on vacation and
won't be watching her e-mail to do this. Good timing, Swapgirl...
lol)

Go to their site, and look for contact information there.
Also, you could use forums (such as our Message Board) to attempt
to contact them. I would suggest something along the lines of
"ATTN: TG TF Captioners"... and then state your request to contact
them... perhaps sharing your contact info and/or a link to your
site.

Happy to share. :) I've been having even more fun writing captions
than I'd expected to. :)
Thanks for the clickable link, CJ; I haven't bothered trying to
figure out how to make those yet, lol. And thanks for the advice.
:) I'd rather not clog up the message board for this; if I can't
find contact information for people, I'll probably just add them to
my blogroll anyway. Thought I should at least try to ask them
first, though. :)

Meh - usually people just add the blogs they follow without asking.
It's not like you're taking any content from them, so it's more of
just a way to show the types of blogs you follow, like, or whatever
the category is.
Oh - and welcome!
Some advice:
Never forget the reason you started making your captions. As long
as you're having fun "fulfilling your wishes" or whatever your
reasons, you're a success! It's easy to forget this.

Thanks for the advice, tehswitcher. I think it would be very easy
for me to get caught up in how many page views I've had, or how
many comments I've gotten. But you're right; what matters is
whether I'm enjoying making my captions. And so far, fortunately, I
am enjoying it. :)
And you're the second captioner who's said I should just go ahead
and add people to my blogroll, so I guess I'll do just that.

I'd also suggest getting your blog added to the World of TG site's
caption blog lists. At least, I don't think I see it on there yet,
apologies if I missed it. My own blog gets more views from there
than anywhere else by far. It's not about the views, no, but your
stuff is great and the more who can see it the better! =D

I've just launched my first series; it's a looooong series, a time
travel adventure consisting of 31 captions, all of which I've
written already. It's also my first attempt at creating an open
universe; I'll be posting the rules sometime in the next couple of
days, for anyone who's interested in writing caps in this universe.
I'm pretty proud of it; hopefully you guys will enjoy it. :)

The universe is called "Chrono Corps". Cheesy name, I know, but it
was the best I could come up with, lol. I'm in the process of
writing out the rules; I'll be posting them to my blog later today.
