HOW TO: Use Spoiler tags

This is just a helpful post, and a place for everyone to try using the spoiler tags before actually posting.

Let me know if there are more Advanced Formatting Features that you'd like a better explanation or example of.

There is some direction on how to use the spoiler tags listed under the "Helpful" section of the Posting Guidelines, right below every "Add a New Message to This Thread" text entry box.

Registered Users should also see a nice example shown in the Advanced Formatting Features under the Posting Guidelines.

But here's the meat of what you need to do in order to use the spoiler tags here at Metamorphose.org:

<spoiler> Use this example, and replace the green-colored text between these brackets with the text you want to "hide". </spoiler>

And the result will look like this:

You could remind people to add a space or return after spoilers since the tag doesn't do it for you and your text will run into the spoiler.

And they could also use the Preview button to see what the post will look like before committing to it... and so that any corrections could be made before making their post live. :-)

Looks like it's time to remind everyone of this thread. :-)

For future reference (and a reminder), spoiler tag use / how-to is explained in both the Posting Guidelines' "Helpful" section (below the text entry box in the Message Board), and also in this thread which is mentioned in that same helpful posting guideline... should you need a link to this thread.

Oh crap!! cj never mind. I was pressing the back key and the forward key on my keyboard thinking they were bracket keys. I've since located the real bracket keys.
