What is the best F2F in a comic? I mean in terms of the step by
step transformation and how its drawn/portrayed rather than
anything to do with the storyline etc., I need to see if I can mix
up how I currently do these TFs in my comics.

So not body swaps, right? If you wanted those, I could come up with
several easily. Physical TFs are harder to think up. And most I can
think of are almost instantaneous.

Personally I'd like to know the body swaps

Due to the dark nature, my vote would be the "American Reaper"
segments found in Judge Dredd Megazine
I do greatly wish they increased the frequency. I hope to see more
F2F.
A movie based on the concept would have amazing potential, but I
have doubts it will ever come to exist.
Just imagine a 70 year old woman paying a fee to have her mind
transferred into a gorgeous 22 year old body.
Perhaps the younger is the granddaughter of a friend or a new
employee hired for this special purpose in mind.

Some of the sequences by the artist cluedog on DeviantArt
(http://cluedog.deviantart.com/), a.k.a. Smooch on TGComics.com
start as TG but then progress through a series of female
transformations with a lot of process.
Art from comic books I've read are a little tougher. I like how
some of the various artists who've drawn X-Men villain Mystique
have handled process and not just a poof transformation like most
artists, In the recent Wolverines series, for example, Nick
Bradshaw in Issue #1 replicated the morphing effect from the X-Men
movies, while Ariela Kristantina in Issue #19 drew a decent pic of
Mystique seamlessly morphing back from X-23 into herself.

How long does it take to join that group?

Sorry I didn't respond until now. My personal favorite body swaps
are Storm and Emma Frost (Uncanny X-Men # 151-152), Zatanna and
Star Sapphire (Justice League Of America # 166-168). Bethany Cabe
and Madame Masque(Iron Man # 200-204), and the Invisible Woman and
Crucible's teenaged Indian henchwoman (Fantastic Four, vol. 3 #
11-12). Those were the best, IMO.

Never checked America Reaper.
What about it? What makes it so good?
|

It is pretty good. Basically legal and illegal theft of young
bodies by elderly, rich folks. Judge Dredd Megazine 335, 336 & 337
are the best of this story that I have seen so far. They have 2
body theft stories for the price of one...with the main story
followed by a "Reaper Files" story.

That said, I am not a fan of the arty photorealistic style of the
main American Reaper stories. I prefer the more traditional comic
style of the follow-up "Reaper Files". Google "American Reaper"
images for some samples of both. Also, the F2F never goes on as
long as one would like. Ah well...

Are there exploration/mirror scenes?

No. No exploration/mirror scenes. The old and young women are
sidebyside in a lab when the transfer occurs. Much moralizing and
guilt, even by the body thieves. It is sort of "American Flagg"
(Chaykin) meets BladeRunner" -- the retro style, the main character
and the plotline seem like that movie pitch was part of its
creation. The Reaper Files more fun than the main episodes, I
think, as someone who likes evil wins F2F.

American Reaper potentially getting closer to a real film.
It would be incredible to see an old woman transferring into a much
younger woman's beautiful body. Then to see significant screen time
of her enjoying her new vitality.
Pat’s followed Amblin Partners announcement it had acquired the
feature film rights to the graphic novels American Reaper and
Reaper Files and will partner with Intrepid Pictures to develop and
produce the project, with Amblin financing.
Ciarán Foy will direct and will co-write the script with Kyle Ward,
based on their original pitch to Amblin and Intrepid.
For those not familiar, American Reaper is a sci-fi action noir,
set in a near future where the aging elite (“Snatchers”) prey upon
the young, paying to hijack their bodies in order to prolong their
own lives.
