http://www.breitbart.com/big-hollywood/2015/09/14/transgender-hitman-thriller-being-shopped-at-toronto-film-fest/
According to THR, production company The Solution has taken to TIFF
to shop a project called Tomboy to interested buyers. The film
reportedly centers on an elite hitman who gets gender-reassigned
into a woman against his will by a shady surgeon known only as The
Doctor. After the surgery, the now-hitwoman sets out for revenge
alongside a nurse named Johnnie.
Sigourney Weaver and Slumdog Millionaire star Frieda Pinto have
been in negotiations to play The Doctor and the nurse,
respectively, but the project is reportedly still looking for a
female lead to play what sounds very much like a gender-reassigned
version of Liam Neesons character in 2008s Taken.

Sounds a little like the series "Hit & Miss" -- http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2232345/
In-so-far-as having a transgender hitwoman, anyhow. Though that may
be as far as the similarities run.
Either way, thanks for the alert.

Good find. Hopefully this one makes it to the movies

Hope it does the transformation through some type of medical means
where the new woman is an actual female, more petite female body,
able to get pregnant, etc.

@KJ
It could go one of three ways, I think:
1.) The original male version of the character could be cast to
have a short/slight male body frame (but has really deadly hitman
skills, regardless), so a reasonable match for a normal/pretty
actress.
2.) The movie could go mildly sci-fi, with a new type of sex-change
procedure (throwing some jargon about gene replacement or
something), so the male hitman gets shrunk to a degree, and gets
feminized more and faster than is possible in real life. The fact
that Sijourney Weaver is likely cast as the doctor who performs the
procedure, rather than an actor of lower profile, might lend some
credence to that possibility.
3.) It could ostensibly be a "real-life" sex-change operation, but
the filmmakers take a lot of creative license and fudge things, so
the female version is still shorter/slighter than could actually be
achieved in reality, but they ignore that and just try and get the
audience to accept it. Nothing drastic, like having a six-foot male
become a five-foot-two female, but they could probably use willing
suspension of audience belief to have the female version be a
couple of inches shorter.
We have part of a clue, though. The news story says they were
looking to cast UK actress Andrea Riseborough for the role of the
transformed hitman, though scheduling conflicts with the actress
caused that plan to fall through. According to IMDB, Riseborough is
five-foot-five-and-a-half in height, and very traditionally
pretty/feminine, so unless they dramatically recast the part, we're
not looking at the transformed hitman to be some kind of amazon.
Here's some Google Images of Riseborough, so we can see what
they're probably basically looking for, in the physical look of the
female part:

I can see this film being not in the slightest bit controversial in
any way whatsoever.

The problem with sex change surgery is it's not really a woman. I
wish they would inject a little bit of supernatural and make it a
magical transformation. Until the y chromosome is removed a man she
be.

When the AV Club ran an article on it, they titled it:
"Sigourney Weaver to make Michelle Rodriguez into a woman in
Tomboy."
http://www.avclub.com/article/sigourney-weaver-make-michelle-rodriguez-woman-tom-227624
I was guessing some sort of "My Fair Lady" sort of thing. Boy was I
wrong.
My guess is that it starts of as some sort of imprisonment and
humiliation plan by some villain which goes horribly wrong for them
when the lead character escapes and at the end, for whatever reason
the lead decides to stay the way the are at the end.

rush -- then it would be a completely different story. And perhaps
a bit too far-fetched for the audience to get into for an otherwise
serious show.
But I get your message. I'd love to see something where a magically
TF'd or swapped guy, now gal, has to deal with life and adapt until
he/she can resolve whatever and then return??? But watching the
character grow and learn would be neat. I'd could really get into
that story, learning with him as he deals with life as a woman.
Perhaps we'll see lots of that in this one.

Well, isn't that basically the Portuguese Lalola (substitute
extremely Weird Science for magic).
I know it's not the most popular thing around here but it's
certainly IMO had the most realistic reactions and course of
actions from any man finding themselves in that position out of all
13 of them. Also, who wants to see yet another retread of the
Argentinian version anyway? I actually liked that a few different
countries tried to mix it up a bit.

Isn't that the name of a movie that starred Chris Farley?

People will believe a surgical penis removal and simple breast
implant transformation than the suspension of disbelief for a
magical transformation. A magical transformation would be
ridiculous (sic.) Even if onscreen the two snips makes a beautiful
woman.

Hard to say what people will believe these days. But what would the
story be about if the hitman was suddenly Ka-girl'd? I mean, all
he'd have to do is find a way to have the spell reversed... there
would hardly be any anguish or perceived need for vengeance. It
would certainly make for a fairly different story.
Now, take a normal everyday guy and surgically (and irreversibly)
alter him to appear female to everyone else, and you have something
that most guys (and gals) could relate to. Anger, confusion, and a
need to deliver some payback. Force him to have to interact with
the world in a manner different than he previously had to, and you
have the makings for an interesting story.
If only the cosmetic surgery was as good as Hollywood would lead us
to believe, we could all appear to the world as a perfect version
of ourselves.

I'm going to guess our lead protagonist is trapped for a long time
and hence there's time to do all that. I'm guessing that it's going
to be like The Skin I Live In plus some Face/Off where there's at
least a bit of technological contribution from stuff we don't
actually have in the real world, so presumably either a bit of
sci-fi or at least skipping some intermediate detail like The Skin
I Live In. Presumably it would also make sense to have two
different actors like that film as well.

I'm interested to see them do the story and the transformation /
surgery well.
I guess we'll have to wait and see.
I just hope that I don't come to wish that they'd just used magic.
