Has metamorphose seen the movie "Victim" starring Stephen Weigand? It's about a man who is kidnapped and forcibly slowly transformed and brainwashed into a woman by a mad scientist.

What did you think? I saw it the other day on the Chiller channel.

It was on Netflix not long ago. May still be on there. I personally didn't like it because to me the guy basically became a fake female in drag and makeup. However, the remake or other version of it "the skin I live in" with Antonio bandaras was much better. The guy turned girl was played by a female actress and the surgeon used more sophisticated methods to feminize the guy which is why it was more believable when his female version came on screen

I thought it was an interesting film with some good performances but ultimately a let down. My biggest problem came from a story perspective. The surgeon wanted to get revenge but he essentially brainwashed his victim to always believe he was a woman and his daughter. I felt like his loss of identity undermined the point of the revenge. Of course It's hard not to compare it to TheSkin I Live In or the book that it's based on. In the end It was all about a shock concept and torture and less about character and story, but then you could say the same about a lot of decent horror films. I'd give it a C+

"Victim" entry/page

I saw Victim which was temporarily for free somewhere a couple of years ago. I love Almodovar but haven't seen his version yet. I know his ending, though, and would think it is actually less realistic (because that's kinda' what he goes for) but more interesting to people fantasizing TG. Victim was more believable because they used more convincingly standard GRS technology and because in good fashion w/ proto-torture-porn type films of yesteryear (way before 2010) the characters are disturbingly but almost believably twisted. The final conflict resolution was interesting but took forever to get there and the final resolution at the very very end (last minute) was a little unsatisfying. It was actually the least convincing part. I wasn't sure if they were trying to show us one last twist or just being lazy.

In a way, it reminded me of "I Spit on Your Grave II" (psychologically, only;there was no TG element in it), in that you're kind of waiting to see how the protagonist will deal with it all if they survive but I found Victim's resolution less convincing.
