Pages 5-9 are up.
I have to be honest, though I love the skin-shedding villain, I'm a
bit confused. Some sort of revenge scheme? With everything jumping
around it's a bit hard to follow who's who, there's no tattoo and
there's no exposition. Hopefully once it's done we'll find out why.

"The Stalker" finale went up yesterday And Page 1 of a NEW story -
The Election - is already up!
I don't know if it's just the inking and shading but the
already-incredible art just went up a few notches!

There is some debate as to the style of the current artist. I
really like the style but I don't quite understand how the artist
creates the work. Maybe it doesn't really matter how he did it as
long as it all comes together which I hope it does. (The art, by
the way, is better than the story, so please enjoy the story!)

Meant to say above please enjoy the art (not the story which is a
little clunky at points).

Nah, the artist is pretty good. I have admit however, that prefer
your lighter, humorous, stories more. Question to the author: do
you base your artist selection on the story you're telling?
|

I do tend to base a story somewhat on an artist's style. There are
some stories, say the Princess, that worked well with the artist's
cartoon style. However the artist for Templar is the same artist
for Simple Simon and that artist's range allows for both the silly
and the grotesque. The story that is currently on tap was actually
meant for another artist but the artist disappeared on me after a
couple pages. (That happens more often than you'd think
unfortunately.) The story was modified slightly to fit this current
artist's style but is more or less the same story. Sometimes I'll
write a story just for an artist - say, The Friend, or The
Prisoner, or the original black and white The Job. The Five was a
rework and was a great rework but the original The Five (again,
artist disappeared on me) was spectacular. Unfortunately it is
unlettered and low res. Maybe I'll release the alternative
incomplete works in the future just so people could see what could
have been.

Yes, I want humorous story too! Dark story sucks.

Something along the lines of The Sorority taking place at an
all-girls high school or college sorority would be nice in that it
can hit being both light, sexy and humorous as well as being a bit
dark.

I disagree. Mix it up! They can't all be lighthearted romps or
grimdark horror stories. I welcome experimenting with different
styles and tones.
I take it the artist for Six Sigma bailed on you as well?

@chronicstuss: I loved your Simple Simon series, the characters and
stories made me laugh and they were a joy to read (though all of
your comics have been good & IdatRah is an amazing artist!!).
I was therefore really upset to find that the last issue was the
last in the series(?) as I would love to see more of them made, as
I am sure many people do too!

There might be one more Simple Simon left in 2017. (For what was
supposed to be a one-shot, Simon sure does seem to find more ways
to get in and out of trouble and stick around.) And of course I
have to finish up Templar as well in 2017. As for Six Sigma, that
was my fault actually. Artist was great but I couldn't get it to
work out. Not sure what lies beyond Simon and Templar in 2017 but
its sure been fun to be able to work with such great artists.
