Robin Tunney (The Mentalist) gives off an interesting TG-vibe and
there are plenty of others, but this thread is for one actress only
:-(

Laura Prepon from That 70s Show. Hadn't really thought of it in
that context, but she has all the signs: deep voice, hangs out with
a bunch of guys, big chest but doesn't seem aware of it.

"Wendie Malick can also from time to time have an ex-man vibe about
her and in one short film played an M to F transgender"
I agree, here is that video

UK said Tilda Swinton
Easy to see her as a man changed into a woman. And she has played
across the gender lines in her films.

Not exactly an actress but the coming out story of the youtuber
PhilosophyTube (I think) was a really interesting blurring of the
lines.

Someone mentioned the actress that played Deb on the show
Dexter......I could see her as an ex man now a woman, especially in
the character she played on Dexter.......On Dexter I see her as
more of a girl changed into a boy, she sees her dad paying more
attention to her brother than her, and she thinks it is because she
is now a girl.

CORRECTION

Jenny McCarthy has a way about her that could easily make you
believe she used to be a man......She even played a male to female
by surgery on "Just Shoot Me"

Deb Mazar is much like Jenny McCarthy too, and like her and Wendie
Malick, played a male to female in a movie.

Michelle Rodriguez, she has that tough guy way that you could
imagine she was a man changed into a woman. So much so she was cast
in The Assignment.

Of course Tilda Swinton! She played Orlando in Sally Potter's
adaptation of the Woolf novel about an Elizabethan nobleman who
never dies, but does change sex about halfway through the story.
Pretty surreal at times, but fun.

I spend too much time imagining many of the women I see on the
screen, are men changed into women.
Tina Fey may have been one, but she defiantly became one of them I
imagine was a man changed into a woman when I started watching her
on 30 Rock....On the show she comes across as not too comfortable
being a woman and there were hints or mentions she was mistaken for
a boy when little.

When I see the actress Allison Janney I just cannot help but think
she was once a man and was changed into a woman. A woman who kept
her man's height, and her voice is husky.

If a TG fan, once you have seen actresses like Karen Duffy in
"Synapse", or Natalie Knepp in "Sam", anytime you see them again,
you imagine they are a man who has been changed into a woman.

Because of the change I like to think of the new woman becoming
very unsure of herself, kind of neurotic. So when I look at the
work of Cynthia Stevenson in the 80's and 90's it is easy for me to
picture her as having been a man changed into a woman.
