The Viki site has about 2 dozen chapters of the Philippines version
with full English subs at

The tone is a little more serious than most LLL shows and it does
different things with the characters and situations.

However thanks to google I found the Viki site.
Google "Watch Tagalog Drama Lalola Philippines" the top 4 search
results are the viki videos.

This is well done! So far I watched to the point where Lalo becomes
a girl. It's exaspirating that a small, poor country like the
Philippines can do a high quality and lengthy work like this, while
US producers, with their huge customer base, along with a large
foreign English-speaking, affluent audience to boot, finds it an
"unprofitable" project.

Since last looking in on Viki's subbed Philippine Lalola, I found
that they have added more subbed shows, a total now at over 40.
They have also revamped and improved the physical layout of the
site. There is so much bad tg out there, and so many good and bad
foreign shows that have no English, that it's great to have the
chance to watch one of the best tg-themed series ever done and be
able to understand what's going on. I have so far watched up to the
point where Lalo's mother shows up, as a take-no-prisoners chief
exec of a rival brewing company. Lola hasn't confessed her identity
even to her grandfather, so will she have the nerve to meet a
mother whom she has never known (but who was heartsick and
embittered when forced to give Lalo up)? Keep tuned in.

Marc1013, are you sure about how it ends? I am slowly working my
way through the part that is subtitled (I love it, but I find
watching videos online uncomfortable). I will have to watch more of
the later shows to see if she becomes a model, but it's unlikely
that any such thing happens. I watched the last show. Lola was a
rising young exec in the company before and at the end it looks
like she still is. She was never a model in the early shows and
displayed no interest in being a model, so why should she take such
a job? Has anyone else watched and understood enough of the series
to refute that Lola ends the show as a model, since she has
impressed her boss what a good exec she will make?

So is Lalola phillipines with subs off the web for good now? Its
still on youtube, but the viki channel seems to have dissappeared.

I'm at a computer with parental locks on it, so I can't check for
myself today True, the Philippines shows were taken off Viki, and
later so were the 20+ subtitled episodes of Lalola Argentinadid
vanish, too. But then the Argentinean shows were back again, or at
least they were about 2-3 weeks ago. I hope you don't mean that
they are gone again, Tuggy.
It's so strange. When copyright holders see there is a fan demand
for their shows in English, instead of just crying foul, why don't
they benefit from the demand by putting out DVDs with English? The
Russians worked out a deal with Dori Media for a DVD release of
Margosha (no English), but its amazing that no one else has. It's
not like there are not DVD releases of all sorts of international
telenovels, none as good as Lalola.

About those Argentinean shows with subtitles. They are still there.
And, good news, they finally fixed #11, which always had bad links
before. I wish they'd do more translated shows, but if Viki
attracts too much attention with them, like their Philippine
translations did (over 40 episodes), they'd probably have Dori
Media coming down on them. (Why Dori M is so slack about pushing
Lalola to the English market is a mystery to me.)
Shame on them for giving it to those bumblers at Fox and then,
apparently, dropping the effort. Lifetime would be a good second
choice. But not WE. They are more into rappers with kids by 10
different women.

I'm a huge fan of the Lola Chile series. I don't get why it's not
for sale by download or dvd? Almost all the uploads to the web have
been removed. Why make a series if nobody can watch it?

It must be that the Chile-based company is more aggressive than
some about rights violation, Robbie. The Greeks also seem to be
very bad. What are these people thinking? Ramiro, above, is on the
mark. If they want to be hyper-protective of their property, they
should be pushing harder than anyone to get their shows into
downloads or DVDs for international sale.
Interestingly, the poster LALOLA at YouTube has a site with higher
quality video than any other Argentinian Lalola site I ever saw.
They give a disclaimer that they are not copyright violators. In
that case, unless they are snowing us, they'd have to be licensed
by the Argentinian owners. But if they are, why do they have only
24 complete episodes (no subs) in addition to a jag of clips (some
with subs)? Dunno.
