The sequel "Ginger Snaps 2" is pretty nice as the first movie. The transformation is really nice and the story is pretty nice.
I'll wait for seeing the Prequel "Ginger Snap Back : The Begining".

i saw the first one and it was sooooo cheesy,
the whole thing is basically a metaphor for puberty "is she acting like this cuz shes a werewolf or a teenager??? oooh the perials on puberty"

nice to see two plain looking goths as the lead though,

The werewolf itself is a bit cheesy and cheap looking - but list how many live action Werewolf Films actually deal with a human growing a tail? I thought GS is one of the better werewolf movies - and yes expensive looking effects (CURSED) doesn't mean it's a good movie - nor does cheap looking effects make one bad :)

GS2 didn't focus on that. However - I thought the whole purpose of GS2 was that the male werewolf wanted to mate with the sister (who was becoming a werewolf) and when the male finally catches up to her, he corners her and then leaves. Huh? No explanation. Ugh.
