Elektra's friend Konrad gets body swapped into a young woman.

Although the change in this issue was brief, the potential is there for good stories, as Konrad did survive. Already, they're developing his character further. As long as Marvel doesn't abandon this aspect of the Elektra comic, this is a title to watch.

Beautifully drawn. Too bad this one's such a hopeless jumble. The story revolves around an evil demon, known as the Architect, in the body of a beautiful dancer. It plots to have Elektra kill it in that body, so it can reincarnate into a powerful newborn body. It only gets more outlandish from there. The Architect conspires with Elektra's friend Konrad to have Elektra kill it with her sword ON STAGE during a BALLET!! The logic being that... 1) Elektra, an experienced, skilled swordswoman, won't notice that her prop sword has been replaced with a real one and.. 2) Electra could accidentally deliver a fatal blow with any sword, real or fake, during a dance number! Huh??

Well, the plan turns to chaos. Konrad ends up swapped into the luscious body of the beautiful dancer... and barely escapes dying in that form. Konrad's own body gets chopped in half with the Architect in it and instead of a new body, the Architect ends up imprisoned in a useless gothic tchatchke.

Afterward Konrad, now a gorgeous woman, laments the sudden tranformation, remarking "I've lost parts of myself I'd grown very fond of."

...Then apparently, goes completely over the edge! Feeling like a spy "behind enemy lines" as a woman, Konrad takes the name "Konnie," gets a hideous, pierced, shaven headed, butch makeover.. and starts dating, then agrees to marry, a bisexual karate teacher! This one started with great potential but, whew!
