Don't give up hope, this is the first episode so anything can happen for the next 10 or 12 episodes. Jon Snow will come back. If not, then this show really sucks.

Unfortunately not, though the faces seem to be so interchangeable I don't think it matters. In the 2nd or 3rd episode of season 5 both Jaqen H'ghar and the girl who fights Arya are seen on screen at the same time. It's the scene where the girl first tries to play the 'game of faces' with Aria and Jaqen says that Arya isn't ready.

Maybe, the "girl" is just a face, that both people, on the scene that browncoat mentioned, can wear at will.

I still think that "A Song of ICE and FIRE" means something. I think that it is pretty safe to say that ICE is somewhat related to whitewalkers, while FIRE to the Targarien/Dragons... but... what does that means? That's the million dollar question, I think.
