Submission Help

  • GREEN TEXT in the examples is meant to show which information you will need to define. The text will NOT be green in the actual edit window.
  • Please note that there may be unnecessary spaces in the example coding.
  • Please PREVIEW your changes before submitting them.

The entry title MUST be placed between the two = signs!

The description of the material you are submitting needs to be placed BELOW the ==Description== heading.

The Categories need to be placed between the <category> tags, and separated by a comma ( , ) followed by a space.

Here's a before and after example:

BEFORE: A Blank Submission Page

Categories: <category>Age, Gender, Movie </category>

==Description==

Notes Regarding Above Example

The * symbols preceding the Link and header information are optional, but should remain consistent throughout the entry and with any related entries (such as episodes of a television series).

The information in blue text is optional, but smiled upon.

Additional Submission Guidelines

  • Do not submit direct links to complete copyrighted works. Links provided by (or approved by) the copyright holder may be exempt.
  • Do not plagiarize.
  • Do not make submissions in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS.
  • Please make submissions in English, or include an English translation, when possible.
  • Please post clear spoiler warnings if you intend to give away details that would spoil the story for those who have not yet seen the material, preferably by using the <spoiler> tags.
  • Include all categories within the <category> tags. If the source has Animal and Gender components, include both.
  • Please include ISBN numbers for books, IMDB links for movies (and some Television Shows), or some other globally-recognized identifying number and/or link (such as Amazon.com ) when possible.
  • Do not post duplicate entries. Please search before submitting. Try searching for partial title, author, or series name, even keyword or name if you don't find the entry with a full title search. Some current entries are misspelled or incorrectly titled.
  • Do not include your personal opinions. Use a neutral point-of-view when submitting material for inclusion in this database. Phrases such as: "That book sucks / rocks"; "It's made by an LSD-drugged psycho"; and "I like Freppo, he is a real man", belong in the message board as a comment or review of the material.
  • If there are books, comic books and a movie(s) for the title, all three may be present in a single entry - IF they have the same title and description.
  • Please keep the entry/ies consistent. If an * is used at the beginning of links, and/or preceding header lines, please use one for any lines you add in either section.

Notes on Video Game submissions

Please add a line for the Game System(s) that the title is or was available on. This line will need to be under the line for the Categories , and above the Description header.

Example:
Game System: PC, Mac, C64, NES, Sega, Atari 5200, Game Boy Color, X-Box, PSP

To link a Television Episode to a Television Show / Series:

Add the following line under the Categories: line in the entry's header:

Series: <a entryid=## rel=series rev=episode prep="episode of" note=" category "> Series </a>

Where:
  • ## is the entryid of the Television Show entry;
  • category would indicate which transformation category or categories, other than Television Show or Television Episode , that that episode includes;
  • Series is the name of that Televison Show / Series.

That header line can then be copied and pasted to all episode entries for that Television Show / Series. EXCEPT: the category should be changed to reflect the correct information for that episode.

Finally, you should remove the episode name and the word "episode" from the entry title. The entry title should only reflect the title of that episode, without any quotation marks.

NOTE: In order to link an episode to its series, there will have to already be an entry created for that Television Show / Series.

NOTE: If the series only has one episode that qualifies for listing in this database, a separate entry for the Television Show / Series is not necessary, and the episode can be listed in one entry as "Episode Name" episode of Series Name .

To link Books to an Author with multiple books

Add the following line under the Categories: line in the entry's header:

Author: <a entryid=## rel=author rev=books prep=by> Author's Name </a>

Where:
  • ## is the entryid of the Author entry;
  • Author's Name is the name of the book's author.

That header line can then be copied and pasted to all episode entries for that author.

Finally, you should remove the author's name and the words "book by" from the entry title. The entry title should only reflect the title of the book, without any quotation marks.

NOTE: If the author only has one book qualified for listing in this database, a separate entry for the author is not necessary, and the book can be listed in one entry as "Book Title" by Author Name .

NOTE: In order to link a book to its author, there will have to already be an entry created for that author.

To link Books in a series to an Author

Add the following line under the Categories: line in the entry's header:

Author: <a entryid=## rel=author rev=books prep=by group=" Book Series Name " sort=" order in series " note=" category "> Author's Name </a>

Where:
  • ## is the entryid of the Author entry;
  • Author's Name is the name of the book's author;
  • Book Series Name , in quotation marks, would be the name of the series that the book belongs to;
  • order in series (also in quotes) would be number of the book in the series, such as Book 2 or Book 3 of 5 ;
  • category would indicate which transformation category or categories, other than Book , that that book includes.

That header line can then be copied and pasted to all episode entries for that series of books by the author. EXCEPT: the order in series and category should be changed to reflect the correct information for that book.

Finally, you should remove the author's name and the words "book by" from the entry title. The entry title should only reflect the title of the book, without any quotation marks.
