Description
In this sequel of the 1995 Robin Williams film, Jumanji is updated
from a board game to an 8-bit video game where the players
transform into the avatars they choose. Originally it is found by
Alex's father on a beach (passing on from the first movie). One
night Alex starts it up, but is never seen again.
Spencer, Fridge, Martha and Bethany are all in detention together.
They initially do not like each other, but decide to play the game
to waste some time and end up all get sucked into the game where
they become the avatars of the characters they chose. Spencer ends
up as Bravestone, Fridge ends up as Mouse, Martha as Ruby, and
Bethany ends up as Shelly (thinking Shelly was a girl, and not
realizing it was short for Sheldon).
As they move on through their quest to get out of the game, they
meet Seaplane, and learn it was Alex who had disappeared over 20
years ago that was still stuck in the game, but to him it had only
been about 6 months.
Upon completing the entire quest, they all go home back to their
original times. The 4 later find Alex had returned back to 1996 and
the whole timeline with him missing and the devastation it did to
his parents was erased.
