The tale of a child who grew first so very round and later so very
tall that he could not remain at home any longer, but was obliged
to live in the forest and to become a tree. In the forest lived
Squeaky, the pig, and Sancho, the goldfinch, and the three became
the best of friends.
Towards the end of the tale, Snythergen dines with Santa Claus and
discusses the personality of bears. Finally, Snythergen finds he
can return to normal size by eating only "Toy Foods" and he is
reunited with his family.
