Description
A favorite of the Beverly Garland fans, this sci-fi/horror flick
deals with a medical procedure which uses alligator genetics to
restore lost limbs and burned tissue in injured human beings (I
didn't know that alligators could regrow lost limbs). A small side
effect is that the patients slowly begin to take on alligator-like
physical characteristics. The main male character is subjected to
the inevitable overdose and has his entire head alligator-ized
while his skin becomes rough and ridged. He's never cured and dies
in a quicksand bog. This very obviously was the inspiration for the
plotline of "The Lizard" in "Spiderman" comics.
