Description
Not to be confused with the later British pic of the same title
(dealing with a soul swapping ventriloquist), this sci-fi/fantasy
effort gives us another somewhat mad scientist who discovers a way
to shrink human beings to around six inches in height. A
disgruntled colleague uses the process to create miniature killers
whom are taken into potential victims' homes disguised as dolls, so
that Dis. Col. can wreak his revenge. Technically quite well done
for the time, this slightly overrated film suffers from Lionel
Barrymore's completely unconvincing sessions in drag (during which
he portrays the "kindly old lady" who sells the "dolls" to his/her
targets). Not bad, but not great, either.
