- Title "Devil's Donkey", Magic, Fantasy
Description
An old shopkeeper's 14-year-old nephew whom he is raising pokes fun
at the town's superstition. One day, the nephew accidentally
damages a tree which belongs to Old Magda, a witch. Being the tree
had also cut the boy's foot and drew blood, somehow the boy now
"belongs" to the witch. The boy refuses to go with her and the
shopkeeper defends him saying the boy didn't understand the ways of
witches. The witch, given power over the boy's body, turns him into
a donkey. However, there is a word which can restore him to human
form. "Dangblast". When it's repeated, he returns to Donkey form.
Eventually the witch finds out and removes that particular portion
of the spell. Now, you see Magda was going to give the boy to her master, who
turns out to be Satan. The old shopkeeper knows the laws of
witches, and utilizing a rule which says one can be freed from
their bond if they successfully win a bet with Satan, has the boy
challenge Satan and Old Magda. He must win a tug-of-war with one of
Satan's previous victims. Hercules, a huge donkey that the
boy-donkey has no chance against...or does he?
