Description
Lonely 10-year-old boy finds magical Egyptian charm and wishes his
10-year-old cat was human so he could have a friend to talk to. His
wish comes true but his cat "Whiskers" doesn't become a
ten-year-old boy he expected. The cat becomes a 30-year-old man (
which, according to the movie is what 10 cat years translates into
human years ). Whiskers doesn't want to stay human and the boy
obviously can't hide a naive 30-year-old man forever. The charm has
been lost ( the boy tossed it somewhere earlier, thinking it didn't
work, when his wish didn't come true immediately. ) Also, Whiskers
wants to find and see his mother once more before she dies (
naturally the cat would be very elderly by now ). So while the boy
is searching for the charm, he also tries the bumbling "human"
Whiskers find his mother. An interesting twist in that the animal
becomes human instead of vice versa.
