Description
In the show's main sketch, Red portrays his rustic hick character
Clem Kaddlehopper, on whose farm is a well with water that has
rejuvenating properties. Naturally, Clem goes to Hollywood to give
aging actresses youthening mud packs using the water. His first
client is a silent movie diva who refuses to accept she is no
longer a young romantic lead. Her plastic surgeon refuses her
another face lift because she'd end up "breathing from her toes."
Clem's mud pack turns the dive from a frump of 60 to a curvy blonde
of 20. But after shooting one scene of a movie, the diva reclares
that the mud treatment is coming undone and demands another. After
a second treatment (and some messy mud-laden slapstick), work on
the movie resumes, but stops immediately when the diva steps on the
set a 5-year-old girl. "How'd you all get so big," the girl dive
says as the sketch ends.
