Description
At Gamma Hydra IV, a landing party consisting of Kirk, Spock,
McCoy, Scott, Chekov and Lieutenant Galway find that most of the
colonists (all of whom should have been in their 20s) have died of
old age; the two survivors appear to be in their 70s. Upon
returning to the Enterprise, five members of the landing party
begin aging rapidly. Lieutenant Galway (obviously the "bit player
of the week") dies, and it seems the same fate will befall Kirk,
Spock, McCoy and Scotty soon. Their only hope is in Lt. Chekov, who
is mysteriously showing no effects of aging.
