Description
1986.
Alien pet beamed through a family's satellite TV dish, then started
to eat/merged with the whole family, taking over the grandpa,
swinger parents, their partners, the kids, boyfriend and Elvira.
This is a low budget horror anthology flick, and one of the
episodes, "One of a Kind", concerns a weird little "modeling
agency" which accepts beautiful young women without referrals or
previous experience. What the heroine doesn't know is that the "Mom
and Pop" company actually uses a magical camera to transform the
girls into gorgeous mannequins (who retain at least some of their
mental attributes, tho they can no longer move or speak). The main
character becomes mannequin-ized and is sold to a department store
as a clothes dummy. None of the girls are ever restored to their
human forms. Cheaply done but quite effective and appealing . . .
in a creepy way.
