Description
A woman who ate mermaids flesh became immortal. However she has a
disfiguring scar and a controversial past. To get a new life she
skinned off a dead womans face, then her own face, and attached the
new face. It healed on. She switches faces several times in the
story, but eventually the scar appears on her new face and she is
exposed.
The same story occurs in Mermaid's gaze, a graphic novel by Rumiko
Takahashi, the famous creator of Ranma, Inuyasha, and Urusei
Yatsura.
