Description
Rose Petal Place is a garden where a group of fairies, each a tiny
teenaged girl, spread beauty and love. One day, Orchid feels as if
her friend Rose Petal pays more attention to the other fairies than
to her. The book series villain, the spider Nastina, gives Orchid a
potion to drink and tells her to vent her frustration in front of
all the other fairies. As Orchid accuses her sister fairies, she
shrinks to the size of an ant! Nastina promises to give Orchid the
antidote if the fairies all leave the garden. But Rose Petal has a
much better idea. NOTE: In this children's book, the fairies are
all about one inch tall. Shrinking Orchid to ant size makes her
look baby-sized compared to her sister fairies. This was probably
intentional.
