Description
In all the Sonic the Hedgehog games (with the exception of the more
recent ones on the Dreamcast and beyond), Dr. Robotnik uses his
robotocizer device to turn helpless forest creatures into robots.
The whole point of each early Sonic game, particularly the first
and second, was essentially to rescue all the little buggers from
their machine bodies and return them to normal. In Sonic 2, Sonic
CD and Sonic and Knuckles, Robotnik even manages to create a
robotic duplicate of Sonic (Silver Sonic in 2, Metal in CD, Mecha
in Knuckles). Metal ends up returning in later games for revenge or
what have you, as do robotic versions of Knuckles and Robotnik
(Metal Knuckles and Eggbot) in Sonic R. And, in the end of Sonic
Heroes, the heroes face off against robotic doppelgangers in 3-on-3
spars. The Sonic series is chock-full of Mechanical TF.
