Description
Dr. Pat Caddison (Robert Reed) visits the hospital to have sex
reassignment surgery. He plans to tell his ex-wife and teenage son
about this before the actual surgery takes place. There is a lot of
drama and anguish, as the ex-wife and son were hoping for a
reconciliation. (Note: the show - for which Robert Reed earned an
Emmy nomination - tried to be very "educational", having Dr.
Caddison explain to his son the difference between transsexuals,
homosexuals, and transvestites. Curiously, though, he appears as a
woman only in the closing minutes of the second episode.)
