Description
Sweet Valerian is a new Japanese anime that defies description.
It's one of those shows 'officially' aimed at a very young
audience, say 5-8 year old girls, but it's sure to interest the
older fanboys and "otaku" quite a bit.
At first glance it's a "Mahou Shoujo" series, a "Magical Girl"
series wherein a group of Japanese schoolgirls are told by an
ultracute talking animal that they have been chosen to transform
into superheroines and repeatedly save the world from evil
monsters.
That's where the similarities end. These transformations don't just
change their clothes. These girls transform into bunny rabbits.
Ultracute bunny rabbits in doll dresses. They look like living
plushies.
Think of it as a furry Powerpuff Girls from Japan. If you can
without your brain exploding.
