Description
The villainous Rattila and his gang of "mall-rats" are able to
commit a literal form of "identity theft" against unsuispecting
customers at The Mall on Flibber. Using personal information
scammed from customers, Rattila is able to create "credit cards"
which contain part of their essence - and allow the rats to
shapeshift into them. When the rats make purchases with the cards,
more of the essence of those whose identities were stolen are
drained away (along with their money). Quite a bit of cross-gender
and cross-species changes in the book, though most are described
only briefly.
