Description
Several people are mind-controlled by John Lumic, via his
'earpods', and brought into his factory where they are 'upgraded'
into Cybermen, 7 foot tall, super-strong, emotionless killing
machines. Among the victims are at least two women, Jackie Tyler
and Sally, a woman who was planning her wedding. The dying Lumic,
who created the process to prolong his own life and 'improve the
human condition', is converted into the Cyber-Controller. The
Doctor puts a halt to Lumic's scheme by deactivating the Cybermen's
emotional inhibitors, causing them to remember what they were
before. Since most, if not all, were unwilling participants, the
shock ends up destroying them.
