Description
A straight to video computer graphic image staring Barbie in the
Nutcracker. It doesn't have enough of the original music, but
basically follows the plot of the ballet. The transformations are
the eponimous Nutcracker, who used to be a prince before being
cursed, and various anthropomorphic animals who are turned into
statues. Barbie, as Clara, is reduced in size.
It was OK for young children, but there isn't much cross-over
interest for adults, even adults like myself who like children's
material and have a high tolerance for the overly sweet and
juvenile.
The little girl I watched it with (eight) liked it a lot, however.
