==Description==
Note: Supergirl/Matrix is not to be confused with Pre-Crisis Kara Zor-El and Post-Crisis Kara Zor-El, or Cir-El, all who also were Supergirl characters.
Supergirl/Matrix is an artificially created protoplasmic being created in an alternate reality "Pocket Universe", who was originally designed by that world's Lex Luthor to take on the form of a red-headed woman (after his deceased wife, that universe's Lana Lang)
Matrix later took on a default form of a tall, blonde female in her early 20's.
She has become different men and women on several occasions. For awhile, she had everyone thinking she was Clark Kent, including herself.
She also possessed the power to turn herself invisible.
Her morphing power was limited when she fused with Linda Danvers (Supergirl, Vol. 4 #1 (1996)) and was completely lost when Matrix and Linda Separated (Supergirl, Vol. 4 #50 (2000)).
During the Supergirl Vol. 4 series, this version of Supergirl (before issue 50) also had the ability to form large fire wings as she was an earth born angel.
DC recently gave the name Matrix out to an unrelated character. The Linda version of Supergirl has made appearances in comics, but no longer uses any of her unique morphing powers.
Here the list where she use her shapeshifting power:
