This 2002 film was based on an 1984 autobiographical book of the same name. One night, Chuck Barris (played by Sam Rockwell) finds Jim Byrd (played by George Clooney) sitting atop the diving board of his backyard pool. Byrd reveals to Barris on why he was chosen by the CIA to become an assassin as he is the son of a serial killer and had been raised as a girl by his mother, so that he would "fit the profile".
