Kate Lipton and her family buys a lizard egg from Australia (also known as Oz) to be used for their lizard farm. Unbeknownst to Kate, terror lurks around the egg she bought.
During a scene where <spoiler> the lizard hatched from the egg bites Kate Lipton, she slowly turns into a lizard during the course of the story. She starts getting scaly skin, have her nails turn to claws, and even start to act like a lizard as well. </spoiler>
Though all the events in the story gets <a href="http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SubvertedTrope" color="black"><b>subverted</b></a> <spoiler> as it turns out Kate's family are actually shapeshifting lizardmen, and that they start manifesting their lizard identity at Kate's age.</spoiler>
