Given the circumstances around here, namely with some people
spamming the message boards with spam threads or posts while other
people create all these threads reporting the spam threads and
posts which could clutter up the message boards, it's enough for me
to ask:
Why not create a "Report Button" in the shape of a Flag or Triangle
with ! Mark next to any post or thread so that we can report any
unwanted spam at any time?
This way, it'd be far more economical than creating report threads
that could clutter the message board in the same way that spam
threads clutter it too! After all, the Deviantart comment system
has the same post report system too, so it's a no-brainer not to do
the same for this website too!

The issue with that is trolls will just hit the report button on
everything to clog up the system unless the report button requires
logging in to access and is set as a privilege. That way the system
can set parameters like members less than a month old cannot report
and have a way to track who hits report. If someone is abusing the
system they can have their privilege revoked. Though, that may be a
bit much for this old forum system.
We really just need a handful of trusted users that have permission
to flag posts for moderation, hiding it until an Admin can make the
final ruling and then they can delete the post completely if it is
deemed as spam or offensive. We should have enough daily users to
accomplish that much. I would be happy to help moderate if you need
me.

In all honesty the message board system needs an overhaul, but the
problem is... the odds of it occurring are slim to none.
There's only so much that can be done to combat the trolls. The
Mods ask us as the community to report troll posts... then you have
(excuse my language) assholes like Olly who get bent out of shape
and say "Stawwwwwp with the reporting troll threadsss. It spams the
boardsssss >=[" and he won't shut up about it.

....and another reason why the board needs an overhaul: an edit
button for registered members. I have no idea why that double
posted.
If one of the mods could delete the repeat part, that'd be helpful.
Thx.

Response to #2. It's not as simple as that. Some things are
downright trolling, and are just posted to annoy people. Any honest
post I would never delete. If people want to post threads about off
-topic things and have a debate, that's okay as well, as long as
it's marked as off topic in the heading. But a post to merely annoy
other people is inappropriate.

I’d say the easiest way is that only accounts can post here

post #9 the problem is the owner of the site rarely visits here so
chances of this forum changing are slim to none and also to refute
your point, if it were to be implemented then it would make half of
the content here dry, most contributors here don't make an account
just because it's hard for verification
