Just something I experienced that I wanted to share. Playstation is
doing demos for PS VR at various Best Buy's throughout the country.
I went to one and tried a game called EVE Valkyrie. When I first
put on the headset I started looking around and experiencing what
VR is, but then when I looked down I saw I had a body and (much to
my delight) it was a female body. I didn't look down for too long
because people were around and watching and I didn't want to make
things awkward, but it was a nice surprise and increases my
interest in VR exponentially.
Just thought I'd give people a heads up in case they wanted to try
it!

But that's half the fun!

Seems like fun. Can you feel things in VR? Also, Rise of the Tomb
Raider is getting a VR mission on PS4. Will be fun to literally be
Lara Croft.

Lol how could you feel things in VR, you would need some sort of
brain implant for that, not in our lifetimes I'm afraid

Great for good hard vibrations, not so good for feeling breasts
lol, for VR where you rub a kneumatic drill it would be a fantastic
technology. Haptic are not magic :(

I just played the Batman VR game. The origin section of the game
lets you see from a young Bruce POV. It was crazy seeing adults
from a child's POV. It was great. I'm really looking forward to the
future of VR.

I think mainstream VR is going to have a very big impact on gender
and society roles, and it might get people to rethink their
perspective about tg/tf, even of those who feel embarrassed or
burdened by it.
Too pricey to have that now though, and I'm not too keen on the
direction it's being taken.
@Person
Any chance of a video of that origin section?

There's plenty of TG content in vr. I have an oculus rift myself
and I can make a female avatar while looking at a mirror :)

The mirror stuff is weird too! Seeing and controlling another
reflection is crazy.
Origin section starts at 1:10 in this video @leon. I was a little
disappointed when I looked down an was unable to see my hands
though. The first time I saw my hands as Batman was weird. I was
kind of hoping to see a kid's hands when I did the origin.

@Person
Thanks! This had me wondering if there were any 360 videos so we
could actually look around without a VR gear. Can anyone think of
any?
@Fii
Would love to see that! Is there a specific software/game you're
using for that?
