How long would it take you to adapt to a body/gender swap?
From: guest (Bud) , 95 months, post #1
Let's say you wake up one morning and you're a gorgeous woman. You are either in the body of some random woman that you swapped with or you just turned into a gorgeous female version of yourself. You have no idea if it's reversible and when you might go back to being a guy.

With that being said, how long would it take you to cope, deal, and handle being a woman? I'm talking about wearing women's clothes, dealing with men and women, adapting to your feminine figure and body processes like PMS, etc... And of course dealing with the fact that you no longer have a package down there.
When would you start embrace a female attire ie skirts and dresses and heels? When you would start checking out men? What about sex with a man?

From: guest (KJ) , 95 months, post #2
Getting used to having to sit to pee - 4 to 8 weeks, by then it will be a habit.

About same time on having breasts.

Having a period - about 6 months.

Make-up, clothes, etc., about 6 months too

Have always thought that if I were suddenly in a female body, with the hormones, etc. That I would fairly quickly start using some feminine mannerisms, but that it would take a year for the total transformation from masculine heterosexual male, to feminine heterosexual female. Where one would never guess I was once male....But then I do want it, would need help from other women and think I would embrace it, in time.

Let's break it down a little.

"... how long would it take you to cope, deal, and handle being a woman?"

Given current location, it would probably depend greatly on my new identity and how much of my new background that I was knowledgeable about. This would determine whether I could fake it long enough to survive, or perhaps meet my end to ignorance and fear.

If I'm an isolated case and TF'd -- with no ID or other documents, I'm likely going to end up imprisoned or in some lab. If I'm one of several (or more) who were TF'd around the same time, then it'd probably take me a few weeks to several months to really start getting used to my new body. The coping would be off and on for the rest of my life (even if returned to this form).

If I'm swapped with someone who already exists, I would try to fake being her until I had a better grasp on what the heck was going on. If I had to continue pretending to be her - amnesia is probably the play I would make. Depending on her situation (is she married, does she have kids, etc) I may have problems with assimilation into her role. I might never be able to cope with her life as it was, getting used to her body would likely be much the same as my answer above... but it might be slower (or faster) with the added distractions and stressors of trying to be someone else.

"When would you start embrace a female attire ie skirts and dresses and heels? "

As soon as reasonably possible, on all but the heels. And hopefully don't embarrass myself too often. Though once the novelty of it wears off, I may choose to do it less often. As for the heels... I'd hope to ease into those, and only deal with them when absolutely necessary.

"When you would start checking out men? What about sex with a man?"

When it felt right. Perhaps in a few weeks or months... perhaps never.

From: guest (Bud) , 95 months, post #4
CJ, your response about coping on and off for the rest of your life even if you got back to your old male form makes a lot of sense. I can definitely see that especially if you had sex with a man while you were a woman. Regardless of how you feel about the morality of certain sexual preferences, an experience would probably mess you up in the head.
Going from being the one that has to wear a rubber to one that has to make sure the other has a rubber on and then back to being one that has to wear a rubber would be mind boggling.

And why the hate for heels? Wouldn't you want to wear them to be authentic and to play the part?

Can you imagine using restrooms in public? No urinals for you. And just think of the wait times since you would have to sit down to pee. And being flat down there? Weird for sure.

Maybe a Misfile would be better since you wouldn't have to worry about your identification. You would just be in an alternate reality in which you had always been a woman. But what would happen if say you're a dad in your current reality and you have a wife? Would you still have kids and would you now be a wife and your wife would now be your husband and the father of your kids?

From: cj , 95 months, post #5
Heels seem to be uncomfortable and dangerous... and impractical for most things I would be doing. Sure they can accentuate a woman's looks, and I suppose I would adapt and adopt them in my life... but I don't think that they would be necessary too often.

Switching back and forth between male and female, would be interesting... even if you forget about the having sex thing. To live in another role and experience the differences in how others interact with you and their expectations of your interactions with them. I'm not completely comfortable with my role in the world now, and I've had decades to deal with it. I figure that no matter what gender, or role, I have in life - it won't always be a comfortable fit, and may likely be a struggle at times.

Yes, I've been imagining and/or considering that for a very long time now. But you forgot to mention that being a guy can make it much easier to urinate out in the woods, or if you live on a farm out in the field (or the yard) if you are so inclined.

Yes, a "misfile" would probably be better... for me, anyhow, in that you have documents, and nobody (except you/me) would freak out about it.

Now, the spouse and kids question is a good one. What would happen if you were "misfiled"? You should check out Joan Banks' "Reversion" ( http://storysite.org/story/reversion~01.html ) for one take on that.

I guess maybe since I have a heel/foot/leg/thigh fetish I'm more relaxed about heels and boots. Besides, if you became a gorgeous woman, you could become a fashion blogger and make videos in which you tried on outfits and heels. You wouldn't be rich but if you're cute and likeable, you can make some money.

The restroom thing would take some time but you would be forced to adapt since you would be flat down there. I guess a trade off from not being able to stand up to pee in a urinal or out in the woods would be is you wouldn't have to deal with erections.

I think the attention would be weird too because when you're a woman especially a gorgeous or decent looking one, you get attention. Men are gonna check out your breasts and butt. And if you wear a short skirt or dress, you gotta keep your legs closed or otherwise people will see your thong or panties or you could go commando.

Sex would probably be the weirdest thing. You would have someone inserting something into you and you would have to hope that the rubber stayed on.

And finally, I guess a good thing is you would be able to get a man to pamper/spoil you just because you're a gorgeous woman.

If you were not a transgender person, then wouldn't getting stuck in the wrong body turn you into one? And if that is the case, then I'd say you would never really get used to it, as you would never be completely happy while being at odds with your body.

From: barackobrahma , 95 months, post #8
I dont think one would adapt at all. Unless he's already has some inclination towards being a female. IRL, we have people who are genetically women (even gorgeous ones) that feel that they should be men... probably that would be the case.

I wouldn't be surprised if many men who were turned to women against their will would try some sort of surgery or still fill the social role of a male, disregard of his genetics' body... unless, of course, as said before, it that specific one has some underlying desires to be a woman.

Yep, the same person... before as a girl (who did some nice nude shots that I'm proud to have faped to =P ), now as a guy.

On a related note, this post shouldn't be so biased towards males. I do believe that we have females who fantasize about being a guy too... here, reading us. Maybe they wont say a thing because they fear being bashed on this board too. So, I don't wanna sound an asshole or so, but let's be more inclusive, folks!

"The restroom thing would take some time but you would be forced to adapt since you would be flat down there."

I don't think that it'd take all that long to adapt to sitting down to pee. Men have to sit or squat to defecate already, so it's not that difficult of a transition IMO. Now the difference in sensation and feel of the mechanics of the act, that would be a novel thing at first. :-)

Sometimes, I would rather not have the male apparatus in the way of things... and I'd love to know what it would feel like to be all "streamlined" down there... and the snug feel of panties conforming to the correct contours. It'd be a give and take type of deal.

"I guess a trade off from not being able to stand up to pee in a urinal or out in the woods would be is you wouldn't have to deal with erections."

No cock and balls getting in the way or causing issues, and no erections to hide. Just breasts that bounce and move (and can be difficult to nearly impossible to restrain / control unwanted movement of)... and erect nipples... and the desire sometimes to hide both. Pros and cons. And then you have to consider all the maintenance and issues with the other set of plumbing - men and women each have to deal with different issues when it comes to personal health and hygiene.

"I think the attention would be weird too because when you're a woman especially a gorgeous or decent looking one, you get attention..."

Yes, men are going to check you out. And probably some women too. Some envious, some lustful, some curious, and who knows what else. I think that perhaps this would be the weirdest thing for me too, but then again, perhaps it is something that I'll actually want - maybe it will make me feel good that I'm desirable. As for the dresses and skirts -- it depends on your own modesty, really. Just what type of woman do you want to be seen as.

"You would have someone inserting something into you and you would have to hope that the rubber stayed on."

This might not be exclusive to women. This type of thing probably happens to some men too. And you're assuming that as women, we would prefer a male partner. :-)

"If you were not a transgender person, then wouldn't getting stuck in the wrong body turn you into one?"

That would depend on the individual, how the TF or swap came about, and the depth to which the person is TF'd or how much / which parts of the mind are swapped into the other's body.

I think what we'd normally consider and some would want, you would probably be correct. But if the sexual preference remains with the body that you're swapped into, it is quite likely that after some time, you may give in to the body's desire for its preferred partner. And if the TF is complete enough, you may end up with a preference for hetero (or bi) relations. So, this could swing either way... pun intended.

And as barackobrahma stated, if your own, current identity and partner preference remained, then you may never really be happy, and would perhaps pursue the same course of action as many of those whose body and soul don't match.

"On a related note, this post shouldn't be so biased towards males..."

Or even those who are simply interested in gender transformation. What about anthro, animal, mechanical, or some combination between... :-)

That said, we should keep this thread on-topic for the Male-to-Female... and certainly open to Female-to-Male (related) scenarios. And this is certainly an important thing for those into TG to remember... that many times women find themselves without a strong voice, a minority, or simply excluded. So this is something else that those new ladies would have to learn to deal with... or try to change.

"I do believe that we have females who fantasize about being a guy too... here, reading us. Maybe they wont say a thing because they fear being bashed on this board too. "

Yes, I'm sure we do.

I think the biggest women have from those on this board... the creepy feeling they get from us wanting to swap bodies with them. :-) But that's just my opinion.

I'm still stuck on the toilet challenge. I mean yeah it would probably taking some time to get use to pulling down your panties or thong and sitting on the pot but at least when you were sitting down, you wouldn't have to worry about an erection touching the toilet lid or bowl.

And what about cosplaying? I just wonder how many men would cosplay if they were gorgeous women? Could you handle that? The attention and looks of horny men looking at your boobs and butt especially since you would be in a revealing costume that would show off your butt and boobs and legs?

From: cj , 95 months, post #11
"... when you were sitting down, you wouldn't have to worry about an erection touching the toilet lid or bowl."

If you're a large enough fellow, you don't even need an erection to have issues with the seat or bowl rim. And how the heck do you manage to piss with an erection, I always had to calm down a bit otherwise things were... hard. ~groans at bad pun~

As for cosplay. I'm not a big enough fan to want to do it now, even with the right physique (or shape)... and I'm not into showing off. I kinda' like to stay out of the spotlight. It's those lustful leers and the danger of being a woman in a crowd of horny men that I really don't think I'd enjoy at all, and would likely go out of my to avoid.

But who knows, were I to suddenly swap or TF, what I might enjoy.

From: Forestier , 95 months, post #12
I think I'd be comfortable after a couple of days in a woman's body (but I hope I would always enjoy it...), but I would need some teaching in make-up and styling... Would not like to wear high hells...

For sex, who knows? Love can strike anytime...

From: barackobrahma , 95 months, post #13
@CJ
Unless a woman finds it creepy at all, I dont think that she finds it creepy my desires to swap bodies with her. I know that girls that are in metamorphose.org kinks usually prefer F2F, but some F2M-possession... well I find it exciting to have a girl controlling my body and mind.

From: guest (Bud) , 95 months, post #14
I just can't get over how weird and odd it would feel to not experience erections and to have breasts and be "flat down there".
Not to mention having to deal with men checking your breasts and butt out all the time.
