Working on Something New
From: Holly Dunn , 98 months, post #1
I started rendering again after a 6 year hiatus, and am working on a new TG comic.

It's a long way off because the software I'm using is completely different. It allows for a lot more realism, but the renders can take 3 hours an image. The learning curve on the lighting is quite difficult.

I uploaded 13 renders from the transformation scene. When the comic is released it will probably be more like 60 panels of transformation.

The main character gets hacked into the girls dorm of an exclusive Virtual University to be with his girlfriend. They do this by changing his identity to match that of their former roommate. But once in, the computer notices something is wrong and begins to make corrections.

Will they be able to hack him back?

Anyway, if there is interest, I can throw out a few more images. The detail on the maid uniform in close ups is pretty cool.

Nice work! I think that those rendering hours really worth the results!

I'm a little bit curious... which software you use now and before? Did you draw (rigged and so) the models yourself?

From: Holly Dunn , 98 months, post #3
Barack---to answer your question, I posed and rendered in Poser for my last comics. Now I am using Daz Studio due to something called Iray rendering which allows for significantly greater realism.

I don't know how to build models from scratch, so I have to buy the models, hair, dresses, and scenes and then pose them.

Even if I knew how to build them I could either spend my time building things like a city or a purse, or posing what is made and telling a transformation story.

It's a bit expensive, but it sure is addicting and fun!--Holly

Well, if you can afford it, no fun is expensive. We need it. ;)

I have 3DMax installed, but never moved my ass towards using it for something. Even for fun. I'm too lazy. :/

have you asked for help of Femur's site? Femur especially is brilliant with graphics. There is a link to femur's page in the link section of meta?

Anyway welcome back!

If I'm not mistaken, link to Femur's site: https://tgcomics.com/

Damn. My english skills are getting worse and worse... was Holly asking for help!?

From: cj , 98 months, post #8
"... was Holly asking for help!?"

I don't believe she was asking for any more help than to determine interest in her new material (in the OP).

But that never stops us from trying to help when we sense either we or someone else might be able to mentor or advise. :-)

TMD. Too much drugs. Sorry.

But, I liked the new content.

"... was Holly asking for help!?"

Ha ha. No I wasn't asking for help, but Barackobrahma mentioned he didn't know how to use his Adobe 3ds Max program (and stated he wasn't working it, lol) after I posted some potentially new content.

Maybe Eric merged the two?

Either way, thank you, Barack for the comments and thank you, Eric for welcoming my efforts back.

All good :)

Very excited! Loved your previous work, Salesman and YOLO are particular favorites. We are always wanting for quality work. It's rare to find talented creators who not only understand the particulars of our 'genre,' but more importantly can put together a compelling, well written tale. Can't wait to see the finished product, and thank you for sharing.
