If your torrent ONLY has clips - drop a link (or the URL) here.

if it has complete copyrighted works in the mix, you'll have to post the link on another forum.

Peoplesman used the Fictionmania Channel Forum at Xeraweb. IIRC, you will need an account to post there.

From: guest , 99 months, post #82
I think you can upload the torrent file to mediafire like Peoplesman did and paste the link to either the fictionmania forum or the tgmangas forum. Just try to avoid posting the link here since I'm sure it contains some copyrighted works.

P.S. Congrats on finally finishing the torrent! I can't wait to see what you've uploaded!

Am i allowed to post the magnet link here?

From: barackobrahma , 99 months, post #86
Since a link to another site that has a link to a torrent with copyrighted material isn't a problem with our board, I think that you could just paste mediafire link, or even better, a magnet link right here: http://codepaste.net , and post to us the snippet link...

It will still be a link to another site that has a link to a torrent with copyrighted material. :P

Message deleted by cj. Magnet links might be considered direct links to copyrighted material. We're checking to see what Paul thinks.
From: cj , 99 months, post #88
The difference with linking to a forum thread that might contain a link to copyrighted works, and a magnet link is that one link is to a forum, the magnet link is still pretty much a link to download (well, find and download) the material / media in question.

I'll let the other Trusted Users weigh in on this one, and see what their thoughts are about magnet links and how they relate to Paul's wishes. I'll also send our fearless leader a query to see what his thoughts are. Until then, I'm hiding the magnet link to be on the safe side.

Message deleted by cj. Eh... erring on side of caution. ~~~ "And a link to a platform used by software engineers to share short codes (snippets, links and so on) between them, and discuss about it, since it has commentaries features, with an added layer of indirection by means of a url shortener like Tinyurl with preview features like this one ? No link to any copyrighted material... just raw data that, with right and sharp eyes can be understood as something else? Still no?"
From: cj , 99 months, post #90
Well... that's what we need to figure out. My thoughts are that if we point you in a direction (hints and maybe a forum or a hint of a search site and terms), but no direct links... clicking three times is still pretty close to a direct link.

If you have to do some work to get it, then it makes this site less likely to become a portal for such activities... though we may allow some helpful assistance (like hints and search terms). So I'm more agreeable to allow such things. But a link to a page with a link is questionable... and a shortened link or redirected link that pretty much does all the work - well, that might as well be a direct link in my opinion.

But I'm not the owner, nor is mine the only opinion that matters.

cj do you ever just stop?

From: cj , 99 months, post #92
Sometimes.

However, I thought that it would be polite to answer the question.

From: barackobrahma , 99 months, post #93
I still don't get the difference between a forum and what I did. In both cases, directions are pointed out, but no direct link are give.

But, I still don't feel defeated...

Guys... let me tell you a story...

There is a magical tavern, in this place called internet, that you can go and CODE PASTE something. Beware of the extensions, they are important! When you are there, if you say the password to the bartender, he will lead you to some dark secrets and a mission with gigabytes do be downloaded. Don't tell anyone... but the secret word it pkeiov .

(CJ, you need to give me a bonus for that. :P )

From: cj , 99 months, post #94
Indeed. Very creative.

I knew it!

Are we safe from unexpected deletions now? =P

From: cj , 99 months, post #96
"Are we safe from unexpected deletions now?"

Depends on the interpretation of the other Trusted Users... and most-importantly, Paul.

From: barackobrahma , 99 months, post #97
Not safe yet, so. =/

But you are the toughest one, I think. And if you are okay, that's already something for me.

Well... unless some of you tell me to stop or, something I hope you don't do, kick me out, I'll try my best to find a way.

@Ashu

If you manage to do v2, please, zip everything. That will be helpful... my connection sux.

From: cj , 99 months, post #99
Zipping everything into one file means that I have to download the full file, including the complete copyrighted works... instead of just picking the files I need and/or want.

Perhaps there needs to be a one-file zipped option... version 3. ??

From: barackobrahma , 99 months, post #100
Not zipping into one file, no... but every "stuff". Video, story/comic folder and so on... I dont think anyone will download just part of a comic folder. If you zip a folder, with all files inside, less trouble, while making and while using it, but way less space needed.
