Thanks for the heads-up Jaden32!

Now the question is... should your pending submission for this one ( http://metamorphose.org/entry/show.htp?historyid=15953&se0=entry_history&se1=show&sas=se0%3Dentry_history%26se1%3Dunapproved ) be added to the database or not.

Since Spidey travels to another dimension, there's no actual TF or disguise or illusion. The people there are simply opposite gendered from the normal universe. So, we need to decide if it counts for inclusion here since there is no actual TF, nor is an illusion or dream of a TF. Paul's Guidelines for inclusion in the database are on the Guidelines page.

Opinions?

I think it counts, since the TF happens to eyes of the beholder (ie, we!), not necessarily those participating in the story.

Agreed---even if it may seem normal to that universe, to me it's a transformed version of a character I know, and I'm interested in seeing it. So it should be in the database.

Thanks for your input so far.

We'll leave this thread open for more comments and opinions over the weekend.

There are already similar cases in the database; see the entries for Superman #349, Superman/Batman #24, Sliders: Double Cross, and probably a bunch more that I'm not thinking about.

On the other hand, the gender-bent episode of Adventure Time isn't in the database. *shrug*

This is certainly a borderline case. Were this a smaller database, I would say it probably shouldn't be included. Since this site's database is so large, though, and since it's of tangential interest to people who are interested in transformation, and since there's precedence for this kind of entry, I say it should be included (albeit with a note stating that it's not an actual transformation but an alternate reality).

A thought: as BarackObrahma says, the transformation is in the eyes of the beholder. The beholder, in this case, isn't just us; it's Spider-Man. To his eyes, it's sort of like everyone in the world except for him has undergone a "poof" transformation, and he's the only one who's aware of the transformation. I'd say the fact that we have Spider-Man to witness the gender-bending and react to it (unlike, say, the Adventure Time episode, which also involves a completely gender-bent alternate reality but doesn't give us a witness to the gender-bending) pushes it over the line.

Some of us are interested in seeing it, so it should be here.

With only one dissenting view (mine) in a month's time... I approved it last night / early this morning.

CJ, you know that besides that, we still love you, right?
