I don't think anyone's posted this in the 5 days it's been up and
to my knowledge it's new.
7 min;mildly humorous. Apparently, the Salvation Army in Austrailia
knows about a doctor that can get you a full body swap for, like,
$35K!! That doctor's gonna have a long waiting list so you should
probably sign up now. Just watch the vid, you'll see what I mean.

"I don't think anyone's posted this in the 5 days it's been up..."
BZZZZZTTT!!! Incorrect. :-) Sorry, just had to have some fun there.
it was the last item in a list posted by Broddy several hours ago: http://metamorphose.org/thread/show.htp?threadid=18583&se0=thread&se1=show
But it is pretty decent... so, it probably deserves it's own,
separate thread anyhow. :-)
BTW - when searching the Metamorphose Message Board, use YouTube's
video ID (the part that comes after the "v=" (and before the
"&")) It helps to easily find if a video has been posted about
before.

Thanks for the heads up, cj, I'll try to remember that in the
future, but I don't think that feature quite works as advertized.
Maybe as a trusted user it works differently for you than it does
for me (and this may be a major "feature request" issue) but I'll
tell you as best I can what I've experienced:
There's no ampersand in the URLs that I've glanced at or used but
IIRC those are for time tabs or whatever you call them to jump you
to a certain point in the video so I just copy/pasted the part
after the "v=" as you suggested. (Add that to the Posting
Guidelines as a suggestion? ;-) )
Putting the video ID in the sidebar Search of the thread, of
course, came up with nothing. You have to go back to the main
message board and scroll ALL the way to the bottom. I know that's a
point of confusion that others have mentioned and that you've
acknowledged but that's okay, I figured it out. I can't do a screen
shot but what I got was my original posting with no add'l links nor
was your response shown. Below that, I got *part* of the thread you
mentioned which looked like this:
------------------------
"Did not know if these were on the list....
Versa Effect (2011)
A deaf movie where two teachers switch bodies for a day. While
trying to figure out how to get back a group of thugs attack them.
Trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SaraxLGydk8
Inside You (2015)
Plot : Stephanie and Ryan switch bodies after a magic night
together.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2807580/
<"
------------------
That did not show me Broddy's link but rather showed me his partial
post (the link he posted that matched mine got cut off), and the
search gave me no link to jump to his post to check it in its
entirety. Most searches either take you straight to what you're
looking for or they are "intelligent searches" which give you less
and less similar junk as you go down the list, so, when I see a
search result that doesn't seem to relate to the search I'm unsure
what to do with it.
Should I be doing something else or extra?

The "&" only appears after the video ID if there are extra
parameters, such as jump-to time or list ID... stuff like that. So,
yeah, in that particular video URL, there was no "&". Sorry for
omitting that part and confusing the issue.
As to the site's searches... the Search on the left-side of the
page ONLY searches the database. The only place where you can
search the Message Board, is the Message Board Search which is at
the bottom of the main Message Board page (under the list of
threads).
Your search results were spot-on. You received a list (with
SAMPLING... a bit of the text of the matching posts) of the threads
containing your matching search text. You just need to click on the
thread title and read the posts. When you click into the thread,
and read the post - you'll find the URL that contains the same
"567RI2b8Xxk" you searched for.
The searches here use simpler coding - they get you close, and in
some cases, you'll have to read to get the rest of the way. Our
illustrious leader created and nurtured this site back when he had
much more free time to devote to the endeavor - so things have been
slow to change as his life got busy. And my understanding is that
he codes this site... from scratch... so no quick and simple fixes
(or flaws and such).
When you get a search result that doesn't seem to relate to what
you're searching for - you need to try a slightly different search
submission... or read through the thread to find the related
nugget.
Hopefully, you will find this post a bit more helpful.

Also, you can just do like you did. We may rib you about it... or a
troll will pop up. Most of the time, we'll catch it... mention it,
then redirect if necessary. It's not a big thing - just do the best
you can.
And certainly... let us know if something doesn't seem right.
