I'm... confused. LOL

It's a nice find, but I'm trying to figure out what exactly was going on in that one.

Thanks for sharing Saint.

This one should go some way to explaining it.

Nice find, thanks Summat.

I still think that perhaps I need to learn Japanese.

Yeh, I kinda get what's going on and the message of the commercial, maybe not completely but it's a good find nonetheless. Funny too.

Thanks Saint.

I lived in Japan and studied Japanese. I do get the gist of these commercials (called CMs - commercial messages - in Japan) but not necessarily 100% of what's being said. Here's a summary:

CM #1: A 52-year-old man, Masao Tanaka, says in the voiceover that he doesn't understand women. Why are they so attracted to things that are new, like new shopping centers (like the Fujimi Lalaport mall being advertised)? He says he wishes he could become an "OL" - another Japanese English acronym that stands for "office lady" - a secretary or other woman works in an office. He wakes up a woman after snoozing (or sneezing?) on a bench, and when he realizes it after washing his face, he says something like "I've become a cute girl!"
Ending tagline: (Let's go to) the more woman(ly?) Lalaport.

CM #2: In the first voiceover in the second (and third), Masao says that he's turned into an OL in order to understand women. The woman Masao is shopping with complains how shopping centers are the most crowded when they first open for business, and she hates how there are people lined/queued up everywhere. (She also gives Masao a funny look when he/she calls her "okusan", which usually means "ma'am"... a bit weird for a woman of about the same generation to call her.) But then the lady sees a cafe she saw advertised on TV, and she tells Masao to join her in the long line/queue to get in, which surprises and confuses Masao.
Ending tagline: A woman lives in the moment. (Literally, "lives in the now.")

CM #3 Masao is checking out how she looks with some clothes when a young woman asks her which of the two similar-looking dresses she's holding is cuter: a white one or a pink one. Masao gives it some serious thought, and the other women impatiently says, "Tell me!" So Masao chooses the white one. The young women says, "Yeah, I thought I should probably go with the pink one. I'll take it!" Masao is stunned that the woman had apparently already decided...
Tagline: Women are waiting for an answer/response.

Thanks Dave!

No problem. By the way, minor mistake... Masao's name is Yamaha not Tanaka.

No YAMADA. Curse you autocorrect...

Yeah ... what's with the two recent attempts at spamming with misleading links? That's not a MTF Japanese commercial, but a weird self-created news on an autopsy controversy.
