The premise of J Doe reminds me a bit of The Beauty Inside.

The shifter doesn't seem to mind which gender he/she/it is. Seemingly fairly even distribution.

I've seen the release date listed on a couple of sites as 2016, though the clip changer shared was uploaded five months ago, so they've clearly been working on it for a while.

I don't know where to find it, unfortunately. There doesn't seem to be an official site up for it yet. With small projects like this, it's sometimes really difficult to know when, how, or if it will be available for purchase/viewing.

I think there's a good chance the filmmaker is going to put up the film on her Vimeo page or some site related to her school, the New School in New York. She is also working on other projects as well.
