Everyone I just found a Kindle book about a man becoming a woman.
Autogynephilia. On Amazon.com called "Jake" to "Lucy".
I checked it out and I counted eight pages. Seems like a good read.

This one? :
Ollan Webb's "Jake to Lucy"
"This is an erotic story that involves autogynephilia. And can also
be considered gay erotica."
Only Eight pages, with a very short and very vague description...
no reviews... and $2.99 (unless you're a KindleUnlimited member). I
know how much we yearn for TG stories, but it's so hard to trust
many of the offerings at Amazon as being decent quality, much less
"good" or "great"... and such a short story.
With that description, and so few pages... I don't have high hopes
as to quality of the author's efforts in the story.
I hope I'm wrong... and woefully so, but $3 for eight pages with a
vague description of what the story is... I'll wait for someone
with a free-pass to read it to let us know if it's worth my effort.
Please, Kindle Authors... if you want my time, attention (and
money) - EARN IT!
Okay, stepping off the rant wagon now.
Deepblue2012 -- Thank you for sharing your find with us. Drop a
review here after you've read it, let us know what you think of the
story... and perhaps make me eat my own words.

Do yourself a favor and don't get yourself hyped over tg books on
amazon. They are incredibly short and poorly written. I've probably
read dozens of them and they are made with the intention of making
a quick buck from tg fans. It wouldn't surprised me of the content
was ripped off from other stories either. I do have a kindle
unlimited subscription but I'm not gonna bother using it for books
like these.

2.99 is the minimum amount that authors can charge on Kindle if
they want distribution outside Amazon.us kindle stores, and they
want any sort of advertising through amazon. I know - I've released
books on Amazon Kindle and tried to drop the price lower, and they
won't let me.
While I'm not saying it's worth it, and the authors should probably
just release something that short for free on other sites, it
likely has less to do with wanting to rip people off, and more to
do with them wanting to get paid for their effort the only way they
know how.
Although, the comment about them being short and poorly written? By
and large, totally true.

Even the book description is poorly written. It doesn't tell you
anything and does not even consist of complete sentences.

Message deleted by cj. Comment appears rude and uncalled-for without supporting review. |

Why did I even say "book? Should have read, two pages of typing
paper.

If 2.99 is the minimum amount authors can charge on Kindle, they
should feel pressured to produce quality work worthy of that price.
Not an 8 page story.

"No one wants to buy your crappy, overpriced book"
Let's not be so quick to judge... unless of course, you've already
read it... and in that case, please post a review for the rest of
us.
Please remember to keep your posts civil, polite, and respectful.

So, has anyone actually read it?
I'm actually going to have to say that I agree with a lot of the
viewpoints expressed here. Books based on tg (along with most of
the content on Writing.com, save for a few gems which persist in
memory and fantasies of mine) are aimed at making a buck off of
people with fetishes.
Manga is usually the way to go. I loved the tg mangas, they are the
best!

I highly recommmend Shifter, from Michael Beck. If anyone has a
similar book to recommend it would be great

After several disappointments, I've found that those that have both
kindle and paperback editions available are the better choices.
