I have a question for the forum about whay people perfer in animal
transformations. Do most people like anthro or full
transformations. Personally i like full tfs because it is the
furthest from the reality that we know and when we make fantasys
about transformations why not go all the way. What do you guys
think.

I'm a full TF guy myself. It feels more wild, exciting, and
different to me, where as anthro is really just a deformed person.
To each their own though.

As animal is not my primary TF type, I find myself interested in
both full TF, anthro, hybrid, and even just traits (such as
"enhanced" senses)... probably in that order too.

I prefer any kind of transformation, as long as it's a living thing
transforms into another living being, and not an object
transformation.

Human to tree? Horse to carrot? Or are you looking for animate
creature too?

Animate creature, forgot plants were under the category of living
beings. :p
Sorry if I offended any plants out there XD

Full transformations are by far of greater interest to me.
I already know what it means to be human and have a fair idea of
what it likely means to be the opposite gender. After all, we are
designed to be able to read peoples emotions and raised in the
rules of social interactions and we can see in our own
relationships how the opposite sex perceives the world. If we put
our minds to it we can actually KNOW what it means to be another
person. This is called empathy and we all have this capacity even
if we don't exercise it as often as we should.
Anthro on the other hand, while definitely being interesting, is
pure fantasy so there is nothing to observe to get an idea of what
that might be like. I can see this sort of transformation being
attractive to those who wish to have no real world bounds to what
such an experience would be like. This is sort of a "creative
transformation" where you are free to be and behave any way you
please while retaining a certain amount of humanity as a base. The
transformation isn't completely alien. That in itself is a pretty
attractive thing to a lot of people.
But a full transformation is something we can get a sense of what
that might be like. Real world animals can be observed and
interacted with for clues on how they see the world. I find such a
full transformation quite tantalizing... the world as you know it
would completely change. This is by far my favorite sort of
transformation. I can remember as a child looking into the eye of a
horse and literally KNOWING there was a mind at work behind it. But
it was an alien mind, I couldn't possibly know how that creature
was experiencing the world. It was pretty much from that time on
that transformations were a favorite pastime for me. The very idea
of becoming another creature, even if for just a short while, would
be a world altering experience.
tl'dr: I prefer full transformations :)

I'd like any TF (even into mythical creatures, like centaurs, or
centaurides!), but I'd like to retain my memories, my self. Don't
think the brain of a goldfish could do that...

Couldn't agree more. I've read quite a few transformation stories
that involved the person forgetting who they where. To me this is
pointless - you've essentially killed the original person and
created a new one. If you genetically engineer an apple to be
indistinguishable from an orange, then you no longer have an apple.
The fun part of any transformation is the change in perspective -
that it's YOU seeing things from a new form.

Lady Sekhmet. do you have any particular stories you find to be
favorites? it looks like our opinion on animal TFs match pretty
well, but some TF stores can be pretty hit or miss

I loooooooooove animal TFs! I prefer both anthro and full equally,
but in most situations I think edge towards full TFs more. I like
the idea of turning into an animal of some sort, being fearful of
the world around yet still possessing your human mind. It's a fun
idea to toy around with! :) I've written a ton of animal TF and
animal body-swap stories and I feel I've only scratched the surface
of the amount of species that I could use. I seriously need to do a
walrus, seal, hippo, emu, alligator, or baboon TF. :)

Full animal TF's for sure! BTW, SirgeTheStar... Love your stories;
especially Mind-Trade. I'd love a sequel.

What are some good stories with animal tfs out there. I have found
a few and i go to cyoc sometimes as well. I would also like to get
into both writing new stories and making animations some including
gender.

@Dogman
Thanks! I'm glad you like Mind-Trade. I'm notorious for being slow
or completely forgetting to make sequels, but I guess I could give
another Mind-Trade a shot.

It's stuff like this
that makes me wonder if anyone would care at all if anthro's
walked among us. So funny how folks just look and keep on going
like "oh, just another half man half donkey on the sidewalk".

What was the story I think it was on Fiction mania where a collage
student was messing around with mind swapping and swapped women
with squirrels? I remember there was one part where he swaps a
woman with a dog and its describe how the dog's mind in the woman's
body didn't react when he touched the woman's body?

The above story sounds pretty good! Hopefully somewhere knows where
to find it.

Yeah. If anyone has heard of that squirrel story that would be cool
