The Tale of Princess Kaguya?
From: juupton , 111 months, post #1
(Watched the Miyazaki movie called "The Tale of Princess Kaguya" Yesterday)

After I've watched the movie "The Tale of Princess Kaguya" last night, I've learned that Princess Kaguya grows really fast and the characters specifically said "that she grows as fast as bamboo."

I'm guessing that would explain why Kimimaro (from Naruto) has the last name "Kaguya". Not just because the two red dots on his forehead are a replication of Princess Kaguya's own short cut eyebrows (which served as visible sign of her nobility), also because the bone techniques (His Kekkei Genkai) from his body grows either fast as bamboo or faster than bamboo. Now that is what I call being very creative! hehe

Hmmmm..... I wonder if this counts as a youth/age transformation (since she grows fast as bamboo unlike how an ordinary human grows) even though the other youth/age transformations that we've seen so far show the characters actually aged (from the youth/age transformation) only in a few minutes or a few hours.

That's an excellent question. I would opine that if that growth is "normal" for her... species (is she human or alien) or status (maybe in this world, it's normal for royalty), it might not be a transformation.... but normal like a child growing into an adult is normal to us. Even then, I'm not sure - because it's not something that is normal to us.

All that said, I would consider the transformation correctly... size (if she's actually growing like bamboo and increasing in size but still looks like she's the same age); age progression (if she's growing older); or age regression (if she's growing younger).

@cj - Thank you, cj. :)

I've submitted it. Just in case.

Since seeing the film, I've read several versions of the "The Bamboo Cutter's Story," and in some she grows from infant to young woman in just a few days.(I'm sure one had it as less than a week). There is also the transformation factor that in most versions (as in the film) she first appears inside the cut bamboo stalk as a beautiful adult woman about three inches tall, and then changes into a tiny infant.
