for those that don't know, blogspots are now going to be blocked if
they contain mature content. so most of the TG captioned sites.
it sounds like older sites will be grandfathered in and they can
invite users to their blog, but new ones will be out of luck.
just wanted to make a topic in case bloggers came here and wanted
to discuss moving. Tumblr has been a suggestion, but deviantart
could maybe work too?

I don't know what Wordpress's feelings on mature content are, since
my captions are generally pretty clean, but that's an option.

(FYI: Anyone interested in this might also want to keep an eye on
the open threads at TG Forum
and World of TG
.)
The current consensus seems that most effected cappers will be
moving to Tumblr
or Wordpress
. Unfortunately, WP's User Guidelines state: "We know that there may be different definitions of this, but
generally, we define pornography as visual depictions of sexually
explicit acts. Nudity, in and of itself, is fine."
Many cappers may find at least some of their content crosses this
line. However, WP does have a very slick import feature that brings
all Blogger/Blogspot content over, including comments.
Others have suggested moving to DeviantArt
, but their admins seem trigger happy on suspending accounts when
any too-sensitive/too-prudish viewer starts flagging.
I don't have much
to move, so I'm sitting pat for now.

But consider this an early warning: If some of your favorite cap sites aren't updated frequently (or
are inactive), back up your favorite caps NOW
. If you use Firefox, you can use an add-on like DownThemAll
to download all the caps on each page.

Reddit maybe an option as you can have nudity, votes, comments, and
mod it yourself.

Yeah, I mean there're tons of sites out there that allow pics with
nudity. If it's a matter of getting your content to transfer easy,
see WordPress, which is likely the closest alternative to Blogspot.
If it's a matter of keeping anonymous posts (which I don't know if
WordPress supports), or the ability to change your blog easily
(which DeviantArt, etc. might not support), then you might be out
of luck. Also, Reddit's always been an iffy one just because people
are sensitive to how linked it is to other things they frequent --
of which I say: just make another account.
(for anyone wondering, no eviction notices have come my way either)

I haven't gotten anything from blogger either. Fingers crossed it
just blows over but this sucks for all of the other cappers.
