Based off of the review and pics this looks like a really promising
social commentary with some sexyness thrown in.

Finally! A serious, realistic TG movie.
This looks really good, and since it's art house, there's a good
chance of getting a domestic release.

everything, just the plot of the movie..

It looks like a little JAVish if you ask me.

Javish? If so does that make game of thrones and other HBO shos
AAViah? I like Japan, they have a healthier view on sex

Most of the civilized world has a healthier view on sex than the
US.
I'm trying to imagine a JAV with a serious, realistic, TG story. I
wonder if it would be like a hard-core, graphic, gender-bent, "50 Shades of Grey"
... with the good parts blurred out for freeloading and/or American
audiences, of course.

I was just noticing the nude scene in the trailer to this movie or
it appeared to be a nude scene. It might a realization scene.
Whatever type of cameras they used to make it just kinda give it a
JAVish feel to it. I'm not saying it's bad but you know what you
get when you watch a JAV.
I can't argue about Game of Thrones. It's definitely barbaric porn
sometimes. I know very little about Fifty Shades of Grey but I have
been told it's mommy porn.

The director has an interesting wikipedia entry.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sachi_Hamano
Sachi_Hamano is a Japanese film director. She is the most prolific
and written-about female pink film director.
A "Pink Film" is a broad cinematic term used to categorize a wide
variety of Japanese films with adult content. This encompasses
everything from dramas to action thrillers and exploitation films
(a.k.a. pinky violence), and softcore pornographic (romance
pornography or roman poruno) features. The term is often mistakenly
used to apply only to sex films.

This is google translate says the text says
A Sachi Hamano film
"One morning, I had become a woman"
"My adventure as a woman began"
"This woman was a man in a previous life?"
(right before the fight the woman says to the "new girl") "Let's
go"
Screenplay by . . .

From the movie's webpage: "Another commentator, Tsuruhashi, is a woman who studies gender.
She warns that if Hiromi is being a woman without any necessary
wisdoms and knowledge in this society, he could be involved in a
serious danger. Tsuruhashi goes on to say that there are big
differences between the society in which he has lived as a man and
the society in which he lives as a woman."
Now, that, is exactly the thing I would love to explore, learn, and
know... perhaps even to experience. Well, that and the physical
differences, of course.

I agree. I really want to see this for the same reason.
The facebook page has been updated twice today with a couple of
pictures and some dates for its premiere. Looks like April 4 at the
film festival.
April is the month for TG movies it seems.

Interesting how there isn't footage or pictures of him before the
transformation. I'm still more interested in Sam because it's in
English but I am interested in it.
