Whoa! It sure looks official and it looks pretty good. Definitely
worth keeping eye out for.
Thanks again Saint, great find.

Can you say "fuck" in an official trailer? : D
I loooooooooove the leg joke at the end - sexy and funny.
And Bryan Batt's joke made me smile.

Natalie Knepp asked on facebook for an offical trailer on December
16, 2014. So it is January 16 when I posted this message. The so
called trailer "The Saint" posted has a date on the video two month
ago. So in November the video was posted. Then Nicholas
So it has to be an editor of the film who posted it or got leaked
by a member of the film. It is certainly not a official trailer in
my option with all the fact I came up with.

This was posted by the assistant editor so I don't think it was
official. Most of the crew and actors haven't posted anything
related to SAM on their personal pages and when I emailed one of
the crew members they replied "we're not allowed to until release".
So you can imagine I was amazed when I found this. Can't believe
it's been up since November.

The pictures are all from the trailer. Interesting. Well Saint, you
turned out to be right about the Shopkeeper. Now I wonder if it's a
spell or something he puts in his tea. Interesting. Love the
trailer. I'm glad we finally have one.

Kinda looks like a nicer version maybe tamer version of Switch. Not
saying that's a bad thing. Sam seems like she might be a more
likeable character than Amanda in Switch. The production value
seems a little low and what the hell is up with the cameras? Kinda
have a glossy and shiny look to the picture like a dream or fantasy
or perhaps a soft core porno?
I have to say that it doesn't look too bad. Better than I expected.
Might be worth 4 or 5 bucks to rent on Amazon if it comes to
Amazon.

Natalie Knepp looks just adorable and seems to play the part well.
If I had to be a woman I'd be very pleased to look like that.

So a complete chauvinist gets magically transformed into a woman
the night before he has a big thing at the office, so he has to go
there and pretend to be his cousin and continues his work.
Sounds.... familiar.

Yeah, the basic plot is far from original. It all depends on how
well everything is done: it could be a pleasant little comedy with
a bit of a turn-on for TG fans without grossing out the wider
public. Still seems too soon to tell.

I was a little disappointed in the cinematography (some of the
lighting was inconsistent) but the performances and the dialogue
more than made up for it.
The basic plot is far from original but there are a lot of little
differences that are very different, especially for American
audiences and those unfamiliar with Fictionmania.
For starters the best friend, Doc, believes Samantha is Sam. Then
the there is a love triangle between Doc, Samantha and Cynthia. The
young woman that Samantha introduces herself to has a thing for Sam
so I don't know how that is going to be resolved.
Sam is also going to be a more sympathetic character than Amanda
Brooks or even Leo from Cleo/Leo. He's a total womanizer but he
clearly cares about his friend and he looks depressed at the
bachelor party. I really like the "what was the last thing you said
to me at the party?" // "Prick". That made me laugh and it also
demonstrated the tension in their friendship.
I can't wait to see it.

Yes!
My theory is that scene takes place before the "Doc? Are you okay
scene?"
Her make up is much softer in the black dress, her nails aren't
painted and Doc is slightly stunned, but by the time she's wearing
the hat her makeup is much bolder, she's got jewelry, a hat and her
nails are painted and Doc is completely shocked.

Yes legs. I hope we get to see them legs in the black hosiery.
So is this movie just going to be on demand and then DVD? Or on
demand and a small number of theaters?

The anticipation for this movie is killing me. It is pretty much
done and we all have to wait till they decide to release it to the
public. Also we have not had a full length body swap movie for
quite some years. I hope that the character slowly learns how to be
a women like in switch. Like dressing, Walking in heels, and acting
femininest.

Saint, thank you for your Friday post. Happy Friday indeed!!!
I remain highly optimistic about this movie. It could well be --
for me at least -- the definitive TG film.
Regarding the two very minor disappointments:
- Production values It's true it doesn't have the production values
of a major movie, but a major studio would probably never have made
the film. I'll take a decently made TG film over none any day.
- Cliche transformation device: It's true that the "Ye Olde Curiosity
Shoppe" is old hat for most of us, but that is NOT true for the
general public. Plus, its the device I like the most, even though
its cliche. Kind of like how I enjoy going to Disney World, even
though its a cliche tourist destination.
Regarding Sam's possible strengths:
The official/unofficial/whatever trailer indicates several of the
key things I want most in a TF story:
(1) A sympathetic and likeable main character.
(2) The main character's friend fully realize the TG character is
his old friend.
(3) The TG character gradually begins enjoying exercising his/her
new female powers.
The "Doc? Are you okay" scene implies both #1 and #2.
- Sam understands that his/her transformation - as well as his Doc's
obvious attraction to her -- has thrown Doc for a complete loop.
And Sam is concerned about that. Sam genuinely cares for his/her
good friend.
- The "Is that a run?" scene Sam demonstrates #3. Sam is beginning to
understand how to exercise her new female power over men, and her
smile shows she has begun to enjoy that power. Sam isn't using her
beauty to manipulate a man, as Amanda did in Switch.
Amanda used her beauty on her boss - who she disliked - to get her
old job back, along with a substantial raise.
In the "Is that a run?" scene Sam is merely stepping on the gas and
enjoying making her buddy's engine race. Which the most loving
wives will to do to the most loving husbands, understanding that
their husbands enjoy it too.
So, yep, I'm still highly optimistic about SAM.
