I was wondering whether anybody might have any suggestions of
stories based around the transformation of the central character
(either male or female) into an average-looking woman, ie not
necessarily an oversexed bombshell/knockout blonde/even necessarily
a very attractive woman, but neither becoming one of the
hugely-obese flatulent messes that so often seems to be the only
other option of end result when it comes to transformation fiction?
Maybe she's a little overweight, or has a particularly prominent
nose or something; you know, just anything that would make it seem
as though the woman they've become is somewhat of a more
realistic-looking person than one or the other of the above
extremes.
I'm quite into my tg fiction so that would be a bonus, but also
wouldn't mind having a look at something wherein an attractive
woman is brought down to size or something, without making her
unnecessarily 'ugly' looking.
It's probably an unusual ask, but either way it's something I've
been looking for for a while now and nothing has really come up.
Thanks in advance guys (and girls)!

I know I've read quite a few of these over the years. To me, it
seems that these are a majority... of course, I tend to shy away
from the bombshell, bimbo, BBW and obese stories.
The only one that pops into mind is "Used Girl" by Jennifer Adams.
If you don't mind a little AR with your TG, then there is also
"Reversion" by Joan Banks. Again these are the only two whose
titles I recall off the top of my head, that would come close to
matching your request.

The only one off the top of my head where the story really makes it
a point of telling you how the protagonist becomes an average
looking woman is a story written by Morpheus called ''What I
Need''. It's about a highschool football star who gets swapped into
the body of a housewife in her late 20s.

You might find B. Pink's "What's it Like on the Other Side?" of
interest.

Similar to cj's suggestion, if you don't mind a little AR, maybe
try reading a story called 'The Katy Nightmare' on fictionmania.

"The Katy Nightmare"
I'm waiting patiently for Mikkelm to finish that one. One of the
few stories that I can't wait for more of.

RE: 'The Katy Nightmare' - I have read that one before and,
similarly to you cj, am awaiting the rest of it! Some great
suggestions so far all, thanks!

In my story, Just Pretending, the main character turns into a
pretty woman, but nothing outstanding. In the story he rates his
new female form at a seven out of ten.
